iOS 7 iMessage and FaceTime

I downloaded iOS 7 and now I can't activate iMessage and FaceTime! Every time I try to activate it a sign comes up that says "could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" thing is there is nothing wrong with my network connection. I even tried changing my Apple ID and it still doesn't work! How do I fix this and get it to work?

I'm having the same problem on my iMac. I upgraded to IOS 7 yesterday. I can send and receive messages on my iPhone 5 and iPad 2. My iMac login attempts are met with "Please check your network connection and try again". My network connection is fine, I have several active SSH windows open and data flowing plus able to browse web sites and what not.

I have an ipad 4 and after upgrading I couldn't use Facetime (or imessage). After trying all sorts of fixes I was resolved to reloading from scratch but a friend from work found the "reset all settings" and wondered if it might work. It did! I was getting several error messages about the connection, the login activation and others but by just resetting I was able to get into settings>facetime and reselect my email needed to make the connection. Somehow it had gotten corrupted and wouldn't work. They also want you to change your password to include a capital letter, etc.

I'm so glad I didn't reload and lose everything.

Good luck.

I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I downloaded the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~
