Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

What the UI team needs is ... a bullet.

Even beyond the nausea thing there is so much stupidity in the UI design it is beyond belief.

The calendar for instance.

The top banner consumes such a large section of the screen (1/3) that there is actually not a decent amount of space to visualise what is the day.

But then in the top banner, one can find a mere 2 centimeters appart :

- TWICE the date,

- TWICE the day in the week,

- TWICE the month.

What the heck, why only twice ? They should put it in 4 times so it becomes not only very cumbersome but completely impossible to use the calendar !!

For me, I think it happens with visual stimuli because my eyes don't quite track together, so I'm getting input a split second apart. Most things don't affect me-- I can ride in a boat or on a roller coaster, but I can't read in a car. Older iMax and 3D movies make me queasy.

I've been trying to keep my comments on the topic of the animations making me sick, but I agree that the UI is a downgrade. I remember when I got my iPhone 3G and realized "this is the device I've been waiting for all my life!" In addition to the queasiness and the unpleasant UI, it also seems slower now. Opening from the lock screen seems to take forever. Now I'm eyeing my son's phone. (He switched away on our last upgrade because he likes to customize, but I stuck with iPhone because I wanted it to "just work.") I just want them to give us back the choice to use iOS 6.x. Then everyone who loves iOS 7 will be happy and those of us who have problems with it can also be happy.

Does anyone know how to downgrade iPhone 4 to iOS 6.1.3? Since having upgraded to iOS 7 I'm not able to use my iPhone 4 or the iPad 2 because I'm getting epileptic symptoms after staring at the device for more than five minutes. I feel it's too bright. I tried turning off that blurry motions on iPad 2 but there's no difference at all. I'm so sad about that. I can't take a look at my devices. 😟 Sometimes my eyes are getting dizzy from the imploding animation. 😟 Help!

First let me say that until now, I've been a huge Apple fan and my entire family is deeply vested in Apple products.

A few weeks ago, I began getting terrible headaches and dizziness like I've never had before. It occured to me that they began around the time I upgraded to iOS7, so I've reduced my usage of the iPhone. I've noticed that my headaches aren't as bad, but the dizziness comes back as soon as I turn on the iPhone and see the transitions between screens. When I see the transitions, I can feel my eyes straining in strange way that is difficult to describe. I turned off the paralax (Settings | General | Accessibility | Reduce Motion) but it hasn't helped.

If Apple offered another option to disable the transitions, I'd be happy. If it takes too long for Apple to address this with an update, I am going to have to switch to another brand of cell phone (we all know who the competition is). As much as it pains me to say all of this, my work relies on heavy usage of my cell phone, so Apple may be leaving me no choice but to switch.

AAUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

! ! ! ! W T F ! ! ! ! is up with the ZOOM to everything. ZOOM in twice to open an app inside a group, zoom out twice to get to the desktop. Same thing on my IPad2. GAWD, it feels like some cheap movie. I absolutely want to crush my Iphone and IPad with a sledge hammer. Zoom transitions take for bloody ever, they are making me sick to my stomach to watch over and over again.

If the option to turn this $h!t off isn't offered in IOS 7.0.3, I'm selling my Apple mobile products and going to Samsung Galaxy Note III and Tablet.

By far the Absolute ! ! ! WORST ! ! ! interface. I hate opening apps now.

"stupid users have to get used to what we know is best for them. never shall _options_ be allowed to stain and maculate our perfectly dumbed down designs". apple, get used to users ditching you in favor of a world of choise. go chew. and by the way, apple _does_ actively monitor these forums so please keep writing here to let them and everyone, media not the least, know your discontent.

If you still have AppleCare, you can try to trade your phone with Apple for a phone that is not yet on iOS 7.

I successfully did so today, and am very grateful towards Apple (one of the reasons I am so immersed in the Apple ecosystem and universe is the excellence of their customer support, and this once again proves it). I am VERY happy to be back on 6. My contract is for approximately another year. If the issue with the zooming icons and the glaring screen remains unresolved, I'll simply remain on 6 for the duration of the time.

I will only ever download a system update after a month or so of comments and customer feedback.

I turned Reduce Motion on and hoped for the best -- still suffering carsickness X 5 from the app-to-app zooming as well as setting items on the calendar. In desperation, I just begged on FB for someone to trade me their IOS 6 phone for my IOS 7, since the IOS is separate from the SIM settings. I don't hold out much hope that Apple will address this, but it's a dealbreaker for me.

I don't normally have a problem with motion in much of anything, but this zoom is obnoxious. Apple, the hardware you make is amazing. The software is a growing concern. No offense to Ive's. Love your physical designs. But, B&O would not have released iOS7 with this very bad zoom effect. Please fix. Or, allow the user to turn this off.

Thank you,
