remote app rotation locked in portrait orientation after iOS 7 upgrade

I tend to use my iPad 2 exclusively in landscape orientation. After the upgrade to iOS 7 the Remote app that controls Apple TV from the iPad is stuck in portrait mode and I can't see a way to rotate it. Any thoughts?

I have an specialied app that has been designed in landscape, It is now stuck on portrait since the update. And yes I have made sure the rotation is unlocked. Everything else seems to be in the right perspective so far.

Can someone make any other suggestions of how I may restore it please? It has made the prgramme (almost) impossible to use. I rely on it for all my work.

How about Remote.app version 2? Will this work. I called Apple and they looked it up on a chart which did not say it was incompatible with iOS7, so they said it should wor fine.s

I found that Remote App version 3 (last updated Jan 2012, the one with a white or light grey triangle in the icon) scrambled the sort order of playlists (issues I've outlined here

In iOS6 I downgraded back to Remote.app version 2 (which has a black triangle in the icon), which I found on an old backup I had (dated March 17, 2011 and is 16.2mgs) There are others as well, not positive this is the best of the best, but it's certainly better than Remote v3 in terms of letting you play your play lists. (What it lacks is Add to Up Next, which I also dug, but not like my playlists.)

Does this work? Perhpas you can try it out and let us know if it also has the same orientation issues.

How would you do this?

1) Delete Remote App from you iPad or iPhone.

2) After quiting iTunes, dekete Remote.ipa from the Mobile Applications folder found inside the iTunes Media folder that is inside of the iTunes folder.

3) Put the older Remote.app into the Mobile Applications folder and relaunch iTunes and sync with your iPad (or iPhone, but preferably the iPad as it is the device with the orienation bug—on the iPhone it's always in portrait, at least in my experience).

If you can do this and it launches fine, you'll see that the icon has a black triangle inside a circle (instead of a white or light grey triangle). I'm also wanting to know if it switches from portriat to landscape orientation.

So, does this work on an iPad? Does it fix the orientation issue? Also, did you notice it also shows you your playlists in the same order (unlike v3)?

I have the same problem with Remote.app. No landscape except when first opened for less than a second or it seems that way (I have tried it on five separate iPads, fresh install, latest updates and they all do the same. Portrait only. During a search of the web I found another app that looks like it shares the same screen api's that remote uses having the exact same problem. Here's a link to Presonus having the same problem since iOS 7 came out.

firthylad - I did notice that in addition to the "locked in portrait mode" problem, the Album/Artist, etc buttons at the bottom of the page were very unresponsive. They may work if you tap them more than once. I've had to tap them 5 or 6 times before I get a response. Not sure if it's related to the protrait mode problem or not.
