New iOS 7 hurts my eyes. How do I switch it back?
Really regretting ios7. Horrible on the eyes. Is there a way to uninstall?
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7

The all too white background in the apps degrades my vision over time. The photo albums are especially difficult to work with. Photography programs like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc all use black backgrounds for pictures, for a good reason. Easier on the eyes. How did Apple miss this?
I changed the brightness and it did not help at all.

I hate that!

I've also found that using a darker wallpaper helps.
I did that almost immediately. Love it.

Ok, Philly_Phan, since you just told me this on another thread and since Apple has deleted the discussion, I just wanted to let you know this :
I've been buying Apple products for 15 years. So has my family.
I own 110 shares of AAPL bought 10 years ago.
I'm an iOS Developer.
And yes, I absolutely hate iOS7, and so would Steve Jobs anyway.
APPLAUSE!!!

I would never purchase something that I absolutely hate.
Don't you get it ?
No, I don't "get it."
I don't care how long you've been buying Apple products (I've owned nothing but Apple since before the famous Super Bowl commercial). I don't care how many shares you own and I don't care if you're an IOS developer. If the product doesn't meet with your satisfaction, you purchased the wrong product. Period.
It turns out the product was just turned into a very different one.

Yeah, that happens with OS updates. If that's a concern for you, perhaps you should investigate a product that does not have OS updates.
Pathetic.

Then buy a product more to your liking.
I agree! This is awful and I'm getting tired of apple now. IOS7 is slow on my ipad and 4S and drains batttery like crazy unless I turnoff bluetooth. Shutting all that other stuff doesn't help. Ive tried. I've restarted. Etc. I'm leaning toward a galaxy note. The i won't need either my ipad of iphone . I love my Mac but that is it!!!
Philly_Phan - please try understand if you want to participate on this tread: Some of us have a job where we NEED to use iPhones and iPads because we are either persons who teach others how to use the devices or iOS developers. If that is the situation, we have a problem, if the new iOS7 literally hurts our eyes. It is not possible to teach an iOS that you don't know, so we are in serious trouble and looking for solutions inside Apple. And we dont talk about buying new devices with iOS7; were talking about using iPhone day in and day out for hours and hours, for years and years. And suddenly, because of an upgrade, you are not able to look on your iPhone screen without getting sore eyes. What would you do I wonder? Just find a new job ....?
