Music not syncing after iOS 7 update

I updated to iOS7 on my iPhone 4 and less than half of my music is syncing to my phone. Any thoughts? I am already hating this update for more than one reason and this is adding icing to the cake...

I as well have had synhing issues since upgradin to iOS 7. For me, what seems to have been causing problems are songs that have belong to the same album but have different artwork. On iOS 7 songs can be sorted by Album name and the albums each have a little thumbnail of the artwork. When I had songs assigned to the same album, if one of them had a different artwork than the others than my sync would fail.

I made sure all my albums had consistent artwork and my syncs worked after that

This is the only thing that worked for me. All the other suggestions listed on this forum did not work for me.

after trying a few ideas here, what has been "working" for me as a fix was

1- as recommended, I removed all my music by deleteing from the iPhone (4S, recent replacement for stolen phone, in case this makes a difference.) the data attached to music;

--unchecking sync music in iTunes, allowing it to sync w delete (where it keeps only iTunes purchased music)

--resyncing when rechecking the Sync Music -- for some reason I had to do this twice, after a reboot of iTunes & iPhone, but then it worked.

2- each time I modify music, i have to uncheck, Sync to nothing, then recheck and Sync again for my music changes to be applied. No reboot has been necessary the last two times I added music.

APPLE, it would be great to not have to jury rig a solution. Please fix!

My playlists don't sync properly since iOS 7.0.3 and the latest iTunes that came out with Mavericks. My purchased playlist will sync across fine to the ipad 2 but but some content is missing within some playlists like some of my latest purchase songs are missing in my playlist on my iphone 5. These include smart and my own creating playlists. If i search for them I can find them but they do not show in the playlists.

I called Apple and eventually we were able to come up with a solution for my problem. No new songs were syncing to my phone. We ended up unchecking all of the songs that I was trying to sync and then I just selected the album I was wanting to transfer over. That seemed to fix it.

It was that or it was us creating a new user on my laptop and then opening itunes with that new user. We then logged back onto my main user account on my laptop and then tried syncing just the album I was wanting on my phone.

Hopefully this will help anyone else that is having troubles.

Sorry it didn't work for you. Did you try opening itunes after creating the new user on your PC? The apple support person was going to try to have me try to sync the playlists from the new user account through itunes, but the songs weren't showing up in the itunes library on the other user account. We then went back to my main account and that's when it seemed to fix things.

I don't think Apple does know that anything like this is going on. At least the person I spoke to acted oblivious about it at least, as if hardly anyone else was having a problem like this.

I just got my music to sync after installing new operating system on my mac. I have the latest updates for everything on my iphone5 and my mac. I restarted my mac just to make sure everything was updated. I restored my phone as a backup and this time my music synced. I reiterate, all updates on my mac and phone were installed. I tried a couple of times yesterday before the new itunes popped up and no luck. Today with new itunes, it worked.

Good luck!!

What a pile of crud, how an earth can Apple get away with this!!!! If it were a product sold by a small business they would be out of business!! Why all the rubbish about work arounds it should just work like it has previously!!! 7.0.3 plus 11.2 does not sync on my ipad or iphone its quite simple Apple _ PLEASE FIX IT!!!!! 😟

Hey guys, had the same problem today, after updating my itunes.

When I synced, a large portion of my music just suddenly disspeared & couldn't play on my ipod touch 5th gen (running ios7) anymore.

I had a look through all the solutions but none worked for me.

Finally, I unticked sync music on my ipod, which removed all my songs.

Then ticked it again, synced it, & it works.

Hope that helps.
