Hi, some people actually managed to fix this issue by contacting their carrier supplier, ios7 made some sim useless. But if ur phone end up same mine, my sim is ok and recognised by the phone but cant call anyone then sorry to say but good luck lol. Ive tried *#31#* and other codes to fix this but still nothing. My sim works with other phone tho so i guess its only the iphone. I regret upgrading it to ios7.

I too downloaded IOS7 on my IPAD and approx 1 day later had NO SIM message and unable to get online without WIFI. I took to Genius Bar and they reset settings and rebooted IPAD. NO SIM message disappeared. However, it reappeared about 6-8 hours later when I got home. I took it back to the Genius Bar and they tried resetting settings again, rebooted again..nothing has worked. He tried a new SIM card and that didn't work. Said my only option is trading in IPAD or buying a new one. I NEVER, EVER had this message until I downloaded IOS 7. I paid between $700-$800 for this IPAD new approx 18 mths ago because my other IPAD that I only had 18 months died. I am very leary of getting another IPAD at this point with this kind of record. I have a hard time believing that this many people are getting this error and it doesn't have something to do with the IOS7 upgrade.

Instead of paying $299 for the trade, I could spend just a little more and get a new Galaxy tab...this is a consideration unless I can get this fixed.

I just can't believe that this is happening to so many people, from many different devices and carriers and Apple hasn't fixed it yet.

I have an iPhone 4, and after the update, every 2-3 hours the NO SIM message appears on the screen. Is it a hardware failure? I do not think so, as it only happened since I updated to iOs 7.

Congrats Tim Cook, you've just sold another Samsung Galaxy.

By the way, I am sure that Cook has a bunch of Samsung shares....

I am highly disappointed with the new ios 7 update. I updated my phone to the new os a week after it came out and the update caused my phone to not recognize the cellular data network and couldn't use web not email. It took sprint 2 hours to fix the problem in which they performed a hard reset to my phone.

Last night, I updated to iOS7.3 and woke up to my phone saying invalid SIM card and then SIM failure. I powered off the device and the phone was okay for 10 minutes and then when back to invalid SIM and later SIM failure. I think Steve Jobs is rolling over in his grave over this iOS 7 update as I judge, he wouldn't approve of it.

I will have to take my phone to sprint, AGAIN, to hopefully fix this issue. This is definitely making me inquire about the Windows Nokia Lumia 1028. I've had many versions of IPhones as well as updates and this ios7 has been the worse I have ever experienced.

My story is similar to everyone that has posted. Apple needs to find a fix- I think they have NO IDEA of what to do. I am having my iPhone 5 replaced because of this- this will get rather costly quickly as folks begin to updates their devices.

I would pull the update immediately .

On a positive note, I have had nothing but INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from Apple.

Same issue, I've been out of my iPhone 5 for 10 days now after upgrading to IOS 7.3. After spending over an hour on the phone with both companies, it's obvious I'm getting the runaround from Sprint as well as Apple. Neither company wants to be responsible and my phone is under factory warranty. Sprint says they've requested a replacement, Apple says they've not received a request but they'll send me a new one if I pay them $30 to ship it and allow them to put a $500 hold on my credit card. UNBELIEVABLE! This is my first and LAST Apple product. I'm not satisfied with the customer service of either company and will be looking to get back into an android as soon as my contract is up and I'll also be checking out other providers.

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS7 when it was first released. Each new release since then, I've upgraded (7.03 now). It's been running fine on 7.03 since it was released, but the past 2 days I've been intermittantly getting the No SIM Card found error message and of course no carrier signal. My workaround has been to powercycle the phone. Not sure how long this is going to keep doing this, and I'm not sure how many calls / texts I've been missing when the error occurs (unless I randomly check my phone).

APPLE - are you aware of this issue?

My iPhone 5 is under a year old and I woke up to the message "!SIM Failure". Phone is useless. I tried to reboot several times, removed the SIM and put back in, and nothing is working. I take it by the posts here and the response by Apple this is a known problem or bug???? Love that my phone is junk. Feel like a technology guinea pig running on my exercise wheel with a product they rushed to market only to wait for customer complaints to fix it or patch w/ update. Apple suggested I update but I dont have enough device storage (after purchasing iCloud) storage for no good reason) to update. Think I'll dump this cult following and going for real technology!!!!
