My ipad VIDEOS app doesn't show the movie Names with IOS 7

I just upgraded to IOS 7. The Apple VIDEOS app no longer displays the file name for videos that don't have album art. I have to tap on each video screen shot (which is typically meaningless) to bring up the info/play screen to see the movie's "Name". Under IOS 6.1.4 (and prior versions) the VIDEOS app displayed the .mp4 file name underneath all videos without album art.

Is there an option to set to get the "Name" displayed on the VIDEOS main screen, or get a LIST view rather than an icon view, using IOS 7? (I have not found one)

Since most of my movies do not have album art this makes the VIDEOS app virtually useless.

Yes, you can use iTunes to change the video's 'Media Kind' from 'Movie' to 'Home Video'. The VIDEOS app will now give you three options at the top:

- Movies

- Home Videos

- Shared

When you tap HOME VIDEOS you will now see the icon with the title underneath. If you made the change directly on your iPad you get a gray box icon instead of the screen-shot. If you made the change on your PC and downloaded you get the screen-shot icon.

To change the 'Media Kind':

- through iTunes right-click the movie

- click GET INFO

- click the OPTIONS tab

- use the MEDIA KIND drop down box to select HOME VIDEO

- click OK

What a PITA. I don't know why we are being forced to differentiate between "Movies" and "Home Movies". I personally don't care if they are mixed on the same screen.

This isn't a solution since chapter markers are lost this way. Apple has build **** (like a lot of stuff they did with software lately) and isn't fixing it.

As noted earlier, changing the type to HOME VIDEO, still doesn't fix the HOME SHARING display of available movies.

I would be happy with just a simple list of the filenames as an option. How hard could that be?
