Yeah, this is happening to me too and it's quite annoying.

I am experiencing the same problem. iPhone 5, updated to iOS7 and found duplicates of SOME photos, not all.

Same happened with music (Match is ON): duplicates everywhere on the iPhone...

Brought new iPhone 5S: duplicates appeared there too. Both photos AND music.

Haven't checked the iPad yet...

Will work on it and if I find a solution will post it here

Adding my voice to the mix and will stay notified on a fix.

I turned off all syncing of photos in iTunes to hopefully delete my iPhone 5S photos and start fresh. It only deleted the duplicates and not the originals. Now when I try to sync, it will duplicate all photos on my iPhone and suck up all the GB storage. I cannot get rid of the photos on my iPhone 5S. I'm baffled.

When I click on 'Albums', I see 0 in Camera Roll but hundreds in My Photo Stream. These are the photos that seem to be duplicated. I'm not sure I want to delete my Photo Stream because it will delete it from all devices.

This is absoloutely pathetic, I love Apple. I have an iPad, iPod, Apple Tv, Mac Book Pro and a developer license. APPLE FIX THE BLOODY ISSUE. My storage is being eaten up because photos are duplicated. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE somebody bloody read all the people having the same issue and give us a resolution.

Do we have to get like a government pettition or something to get this looked at or given a high priority? Do I have to pay or sacrafice a rock bathed in the pale moonlight? I don't care, i'll sell give my left arm, just FIX IT.....

My iPad is also running ios7 same everything and doesn't have the duplicates, only my iPhone. So clearly something is wrong or setup differently because it's not affecting the iPad the way it is the iPhone.

Please.

There is a fix out there -- its actually just a setting and somebody mentioned it several comments earlier: The HDR setting default on your phone is saving two photos-- one regular and one HDR. These look like they are the same but they arent apparently. On your phone, go to Settings, then go to Photo & Camera, then scroll to bottom where it says HDR . There you will see that "Keep Normal Photo" is slid to green (on). Slide it over and no more duplicates... I was going crazy too, so I am happy now.

Thanks for the thought - it's actually a helpful suggestion on another topic - but unfortunately it's not related to the duplicate views of all the older photos pre-HDR feature.

I actually think this glitch could be a 'feature' related to the new Photo Streaming enhancement on all devices but I haven't played enough with it yet to confirm that. Greg

The reason why we are having duplicate photos its because they are already saved from camara roll. if you already saved and organized them from camera roll to an event, you can clear the camera roll, only already transfered pics from the camera roll will have a duplicate. thats what i found today. No need to keep the camera roll full of already transfered pics.

hope this helps yu guys and gals.

I'm sorry, but the camera roll is not the culprit here. I'm always deleting everything from my Carea Roll on import, then sort photos into events in iPhoto and sync back the last 6 months of events to my iPhone. Events don't have duplicates, only in the "Moments" view some of them are double some are not. It's very random and also changes after each sync.

I'm also seeing duplicate photos (from before and after iOS 7 update) on my iPad, where I never take photos, only import them.

To me it really looks like a software bug, where iOS sometimes doesn't identify photos from "Photo Stream" (?) to be the ones already in the library. I could easily test that by deleting everything from my photo stream, but I'm not sure if I could re-populate it then afterwards so I'm a bit reluctant here.
