Agreed that ranting is best done else where, but original posters question was if there was any way to revert back to ios6. Simple answer is no, the thread should have been closed 9 pages ago.

Since the dawn of iOS there has never been a downgrade process. And spare us the drama queen tantrum threatening to change platforms. Do it or don't do it. Nobody cares in the least what you do.
That's very true. We all learn the hard way. However, I do think this should be a sticky that you can't uninstall.
People keep on referring to "other" methods of reinstalling an older version of iOS. The reality is that Apple ensures that you must connect to their servers to continue and verify the installation of the iOS. Once you do, Apple servers know you obtained the iOS from other sources and prevents the in completition of the installation. Posts like the above only serve to frustrate the heck out of people trying to revert to the older OS.
In other words, don't even bother trying to downgrade unless you took the necessary steps PRIOR to the update and it's not any of the steps posted above.
Yes, iOS7 *****.... please give us steve job's elegance back...
Well, after having had enough of these stupid ugly and rather unecessary updates; I am now going to jailbreak my iPhone 4 & 5; since they have no warranty anyway, I have nothing to lose.
iTunes is already corrupting my music collection, which I have now spent the last few weeks converting to mp3 so that I can at least continue to use it on my newly purchased PC so that I dont have to use the iMAC anymore; (have to buy an mp3 player now as my iPOD has given up the ghost after 3 years of service).
My next phone will defintitely be a Samsung Galaxy or HTC, I cant stand the fact that my 3G capabilty is much less on my iPhone than on my Blackberry that I use for work..
To think in 2002 I changed from Microsoft to Apple, and now I wish I hadnt..
I changed totally in 2012, need to wait to replace everything , oh joy!
I very much like the new OS, though do find some of the colors choices weird. I think I can get used to them though.
That said, I think your post was well said.
It is amazing how little the guys that insist on spouting the same line over and over again know.
"There has never been a down grade process". If the moderator would not have hacked up my post to make it look like I was apologizing for saying there was you would know that there is a legitimate process using Apple.com and iTunes. I did not and will not list the process....it is not a opinion of Apple processes, just stated fact because I did it. What is an opinion and miss information is that there is not and never has been an method to do so.
My phone will remain iOS 6.x.x until they fix the issue or my contract runs out in a month.
IKrupp -- if you don't care then stop posting...we really don't care that you don't care. Your spouting if the party line is very old.... If they don't want this to be a place apple users can discuss the issues then it should not be part of Apple.com for the comments and opinions of users. Sorry iOS 7 disturbed your little world.
The reason people are complaining is because it is unthinkable that after spending thousands of $$ your devices have become unusable on the whim of the software company. Not everyone is a teenager....for the first time my iPad is sitting idle because I can't use it for more then about 5 min at a time because it is that hard to read...I did, gasp!, pull out my Microsoft laptop yesterday to do the work used to do on my iPad.
It's funny I did not use Apple after having some of the first apple products for many years...they seemed to really get their act together for a while so I re-tried the products....now they are just going backwards again. I talked to a Phone store rep that called the iPhone the new "basic" phone...seems to be a pretty common idea....I thought that description fit. Sort of sad...
Moderator...please do not edit my posts I would prefer you delete them...delete ALL of them and I will stop posting.
Yes you can go back. I did it yesterday because I was ready to go buy a galaxy if I couldn't. The white letters were killing my eyes. Now apple deleted my previous post where I put where to find how to do it. Best advice I can give is google it and quick before it disappears
My Iphone now looks cheap like Rainbow Twizzlers. What happened to the sophistication in design Apple used to have? This IOS7 looks like something for a 10 year old. Also, the URL bar does not disappear anymore in portrait mode unless scrolled by the user. In landscape mode, I can't get the scrollbar to disappear after scrolling.

Steve Jobs would turn in his grave if he saw IOS7. Steve, we miss you!!!
I have spent the morning dumping apps. I have sent the developers the same message. I liked their product but iOS 7 has put in perspective games/apps on this platform. Don't build a house on the sand.

And you know this because you were personally acquainted with him? Don't you think it's just a bit presumptious to speak for a dead man? The same one who was at the helm of Apple when the Bondi blue iMac was released? And all the subsequent brightly colored computers?
I think you just proved his point. Cheap rainbow twizzler, not a real colorful tasty rainbow twizzler. Fake deal vs. real deal. Use your excessively white browser to search the product. No white in it.
I know this because I have been using Apple products for the past 10 years. Dead or alive, it does not matter. One did not have to know Steve Jobs personally to know this, it's a no-brainer. I have not seen such bad taste while Steve Jobs was in charge. And btw, I liked the Bondi Blue Imac. You are totally confusing the exterior colour of certain computers, which I did not mention in my post and is not what my post is about, with the cheap design and kiddy Rainbow Twizzlers colours of IOS7 which is what I am complaining about.
The fact that the URL bar and the footer appears when scrolling back up, unless you do it really slow, is not user friendly. The URL bar and the footer take up more than 1/3 of the screen space in landscape mode.
