Slightly off topic:

If you buy one of them apple mini desctop computers is it possible to install windows or linux on it?

Yes, only if they have Boot Camp.

No, you can install Windows and Linux without BootCamp...there are multiple ways to do that such as virtuals, parrallels, and so on. BootCamp is the least invasive approach but not the only approach.

Bold does make the gray/black fonts more legible, even on the yellow Notes links. Agree, that some people might have a problem with it. But saying that 7 is crap because of one issue that can be ameliorated, though not to one's complete satisfaction, and blanket condemnation of everything else that 7 has to offer is stupid and shortsighted.

Seems to me that what you naysaysers are accusing Apple and the "Fanboys" of, has gotten a hold of you too.

'nuff said.

Have a nice day.

Don't include me in your generalization of accusations of people and what they comment on.

My complaints were on specific things, not saying the entire OS is crap.

Calm down and stop pretending you know what everyone thinks.

I don't think they are to worried with them selling over 9 million iPhone and the users of iOS exceeding those using iOS6 in three days. Their big concern now is restocking.

9 million in new sales does not mean much if you lose 9 million previous customers who would have upgraded to new phones/tablets and have now given thier business elsewhere. Not just new device sales but iTunes sales, and accessory sales are lost with those customers.

Back to the whole economics discussion. You may not see it today because of current customer contracts but rather farther down the line.

I suspect there are a significant number of people who are carrying a 4 or 4S that have ordered a 5S, sight unseen. I think a significant number of them will have buyer's remorse, or maybe they will just kid themselves. Either way, that issue and these threads will go away with a simple Dark Theme / Mode that does not impact images the way Invert Colors does. This is a simple fix and the sort of thing that is very easy to do in Android.

The question is whether Sir Jony Ive's Ego will agree and get out of the way.

Calm down?! Geeze. Guess I inavertedly really hit a sore spot, didn't I. Wow, you ARE sensitive. I guess you should practice what you preach. My orginal comment which you responded to was addressed to kdboxx, and not to you. In any case most posts on this thread have demonstrate that most naysayers think iOS7 is unusuable, crap, no good, whatever (insert your favorite adjective). While my comment was not specifically addressed at you, if you find yourself alluded to, then perhaps there is some truth in the statement. And you know what...nobody here (including me) really cares.

Again, have a nice day.

Who put you in charge of the Peanut Gallery? If you have nothing helpful to contribute, keep it to yourself.

I learned more about iOS 7 after a few hours of using it on my own iPhone than I did from months of reading articles and looking at pictures. You have to use an OS to properly evaluate it, and I see no reasonable justification for Apple's refusal to let their customers go back to iOS 6 if they don't like iOS 7. The 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 iOS installers can easily be downloaded from the internet, and iTunes will cheerfully install them; but since Apple doesn't sign the software, the installation fails.

What we have here is another instance of Apple inflaming and alienating their customers for no good reason; and there have most certainly been times in the past when a massive protest against an Apple policy has resulted in positive change. I encourage everyone who agrees with me to let Apple know how they feel; and I encourage those who have nothing better to suggest than "get over it" to take it somewhere else.

I know right?

I'd reply more to Felipe but I don't feel like getting banned from here. He and anyone else interested can come to MY SITE (http ://twitchin kitten.com/index.php) and have a go at me. Or Apple or talk openly about anything you want.

I'm not making excuses for Apple, and I'm not thrilled with the new OS either, but why is it some phones are having problems with the new OS and others are not?

The new "look" is a personal preference thing. Some will like it and some will not. But losing sound, bricking a phone and batteries getting sucked dry are hardware symptoms. Since Apple makes "all" the iPhones why isn't this happening to every phone? This isn't like Microsoft having to design an OS that works on a zillion different computers. In this case we really are comparing Apples to Apples.

One gets the feeling that someone wants to shut down or bankrupt the company Apple! Let's say I decided for myself due to the inability to return back to the 6th axis-sell the **** out of your iPhone 4 and never buy the products of this company! But I have never cheated on the company. Always use only original products of the company Apple. I chose this company for quality equipment, with excellent support. But with the release of a new update iphone does not look as expensive and reliable, and looks like a cheap Chinese fake! I am disappointed and after the sale of your phone most likely will move to the company Samsung.
