iOs 7 on iPad 3

Hello there.

I have ipad 3, new ipad with 16gb and 3g hardware.

Did you notice battery drain? I had my battery down in something like 4.30 hours.

The keyboard is really slow, i noticed an important lag during the use of it!

Wifi perfomance is really bad.

The only thing the customer care answered me is that they have no information about this, and i'm the only one experencing this problem........

Someone noticed the same?

Thanks

Yup. Same issues. iPad 3, slow or not charging, keyboard missing functionality, and some key bouncing, all after iOS7 "upgrade."

Also, found several really annoying bugs, some of which seem impossible to have been missed in beta, like lock screen background image positioning and sizing is monstrously slow and doesn't stick. Many other small annoyances.

C'mon, Apple. I had you on such a high pedastal and it's tipping precariously.

ILag 7 is completely useless on iPad 3 . Even the mini with iPad 2 specs runs better than our more powerful and capable iPad 3/4 tablets. What was once a professional grade tablet and a pleasure to use has become a nightmare. Typing is a chore and a slow and choppy experience. Applications crash. Battery life is horrible. How can what is clearly BETA and unfinished software be force fed on us with no option to roll back. I would go back to iOS 5 if I could. My iPad 2 runs circles around my ipad3 with iOS 5. What a joke apple get your crap together. I'm not going to be a repeat buyer. I spent a small fortune on my 64 gb ipad3 + AppleCare and loved it until iOS 7.

I noticed the same horrible performance immediately after updating to ios7. I did a full reset and it improved only slightly and only for a short period. Web sites in particular are really laggy when scrolling up and down thru pages that have already fully loaded, almost like the cache is flushing as you scroll up or down and having to continuously load content. Trying to set backgrounds is pretty miserable and takes a really long time to switch between options and pics. Even as imam typing this, the keys hang and sometimes go completely unresponsive. I'll bet a lot of you have noticed that rewind options in videos, netflix, amazon, etc. cause the apps to just quit. For Apple to be taking so long to correct all of this is pretty sad. Word gets around when user experience with any product ***** this much.

Probably like many thousands of others I was taken in and updated my iPad3 to IOS 7. Didn't mind the new look and layout, once I re-learnt where everything was and how they'd shifted all the controls around. The biggest problem was again the battery drain. Used to be able to use it on and off all day and still have plenty left. 30 mins worth of checking e.mails and 15% down. Couple of hours later and the red warning was showing. Ridiculous. Not only that but the iPad now gets very warm. Always used to warm up a bit if I'd been using it for an hour or so but that seems to have got much much worse almost to the point of describing it as hot rather than warm. Am sure that's not helping the battery drain either. Read all the tips about reducing battery drain so have turned off as much as I think I need to, to still allow it to function ok. It has made some difference, but the heat problem remains.

Other problems:-

A completely scrambled photo collection with photos in the wrong albums, new albums created for panoramics and videos and photos actually missing. The title is there but the photos are from other albums. Have tried to cut/copy and paste but for some it just refuses.

Using Mail on the Home Screen to open emails has changed. If the incoming email contains images it no longer shows them, just an empty box. You have to scroll down to the very bottom and click "Load all Images" and I can't seem to find anyway to get it to do it automatically. However, using the full version via my ISP's site everything works as normal.

Know what you all mean about Apple's usual reply re: "not being aware of such a problem". Seems to be their stock excuse for things you've found that they haven't.

that's what I call a forced hardware upgrade. Why should we have to buy new iPads when our tablets were stable and functional before with iOS 6 and prior. Even with more powerful hardware do we have to live with this hideous update? How old is the iPad 4 that it performs so poorly yet the iPad mini with my tests runs better with Air Drop, yet the iPad 3 doesn't include Air Drop. Apple has created a divide between its users. The Jobs era and the Ive era. Not saying I don't like updates and new features but when it's difficult to even type a comment due to laggy beta crayola fisher price software which clearly hasn't been tested on not so old hardware let alone optimized I'm prone to spending money on a different product that works.
