iOs 7 on iPad 3

Hello there.

I have ipad 3, new ipad with 16gb and 3g hardware.

Did you notice battery drain? I had my battery down in something like 4.30 hours.

The keyboard is really slow, i noticed an important lag during the use of it!

Wifi perfomance is really bad.

The only thing the customer care answered me is that they have no information about this, and i'm the only one experencing this problem........

Someone noticed the same?

Thanks

I am amazed to see advice to pursue 'troubleshooting' on an iPad to solve performance issues.

For 20 years I have used PCs and accepted this as part of the territory.

My iPad 3 was a revelation when I won it 12 months ago. It just worked.

After iOS 7, however, it has become unstable, laggy and no longer a pleasure to use.

Apple no longer have a monopoly in this market. We have a cheap Android tablet that still just works.

Apple's USP has always been quality and user experience.

My iPad 3 is no longer a pleasure to use. I also use a 3GS but I am not sure I will upgrade this to a better Apple phone. At least it still runs iOs 6.

Such a shame. I thought I had found a revelation; instead I found another PC.

Postscript.....

Hey, what has just happened to my iPad?

I did the original update(s), and checked that I had 7.0.3 downloaded, and I had all those terrible keypad issues. Yet not very much changed on my iPad, and I was wondering what all the fuss surrounding this new version was all about. iBooks, for instance, was all the same as before, as was the initial icon page. Some things did change with the new version - Mail and Safari were quite different, for instance.

However.....

Version 7.0.4 has downloaded itself (without asking me). Suddenly everything is different. iBooks, for instance, has a completely different layout to before, and the icon page is completely different. Absolutely 100% change in everything.

More importantly, most of my keyboard issues have gone. I will need more time to evaluate this, but it seemsto be twice as fast as before.

So what is this all about, Apple? Why do you have to sneak out a bug fix, without telling me and without admitting that there was a problem previously?

Most unprofessional.

We are crappy Apple we think closed ecosystems are the best.

We think easy-to-scratch aluminum is innovation, we think plastic toys branded as phones are innovation, we think overpricing is innovation, we think extra rows of icons are innovation, we think ugly girly user interface is innovation, we think dual LED flash is innovation.

We make a tiny 4" display that can't match 2012 standards but advertise it like it's the best screen in the world.

We think technology should limit you, not enrich your life

My iPad 3 WiFi is having the issue with slow charging, slow and lots of lag. The keyboard is slow and lags as well.

To be honest I want Apple to fix it, since they don't think there is a problem. They can take my iPad 3 and trade me up to an Air at no additional cost. Or they can refund my money and I'll go buy a Nexus 7 2013 or something like that. I absolutely deplore anything Android but now Apple is not leaving me much choice. Please fix the bug with with the iPad 3.

Must be serious fandroid lover. BTW Apple still makes better quality products than Samsung and the other plastic phone crap that is out there. Closed environment is better than that easily hackable Android.

Says the person with an iPad suffering from WiFi issues, slow charging, slow and lots of lag!!! 😁

Sent from my Samsung Android Tablet. 😉

My iPud3 worked flawlessly before the update. It took over 3 weeks of "try this, try that" before I finally got it working like it should be. As far as Apple having superior products to everyone else, that's a crock of *****!

The one thing that kept me from buying an Apple product for so very long, was the hypocritical mentality of most of the people whom I know that use them.

Stogybear, what did you do to get it running like it should? I'm still on iOS 5.1.1 and would like to upgrade since Apple Maps has gotten a little better. I stayed away from 6 because of Maps and Google Maps took awhile to get up to speed and better integrated with Chrome.

Thanks to let me know what I am against if I decide to install iOS 7.

I have a iPad 3, 32gb, 3G+Wifi.

Good luck with your updates.

After I updated, my iPad 3 was so screwed up Apple replaced it.

I've been a consumer of Apple products for over 10 years but not anymore. It seems any given update just causes more problems. I spent 3 weeks of listening to 'try this, try that'.

Now the best solution is : keep away from the updates,Especially if your device is out of warranty .
