iOs 7 on iPad 3

Hello there.

I have ipad 3, new ipad with 16gb and 3g hardware.

Did you notice battery drain? I had my battery down in something like 4.30 hours.

The keyboard is really slow, i noticed an important lag during the use of it!

Wifi perfomance is really bad.

The only thing the customer care answered me is that they have no information about this, and i'm the only one experencing this problem........

Someone noticed the same?

Thanks

Same issues here with iPad 3: two or three times the battery drain after I upgraded, plus 14+ hours to recharge to less than 50% overnight. Doh! I can't remember the last time my iPad had LESS than a 50% charge, so was kind of shocked when I got the warning yesterday.

I've sent my comments to the iPad them - and also asked that they not reply with "we've never heard this"...! :-)

Meanwhile, might be time to reload iOS 6.

Having deja vu with iPhonegate and Apple Maps... and hoping that Apple isn't losing its edge and becoming just another Google/Microsoft, and willing to release stuff that isn't quite ready. One of Steve Jobs' great strengths was his willingness to resist the horse race with competitors in the interest of always having the best, most reliable products. I'm hopeful that Tim Cook has similar resolve. That's a big part of what makes Apple different (and insanely great).

Hi man, I had a similar problem but i just tried to push better the connector in the ipad and it started to scharge the battery. Try to push better the connector, and use a wall mounted plug, not the extension!
I've never had this problem before, maybe it happens becouse of the chip recognition that the apple used for this new ios and for the connectors!

Every day a new bug, not bad....

Hope it works for you too... I

Hello from Greece. Same problems also here with iPad 3 32gb wifi.

1) keyboard sluggish, slow, about 4seconds to change. language , about 2seconds to switch to numbers.

2) graphics mess. stucks, whgn returning to main page with 4 fingers it goes step by step instead of the excellent smooth effect of ios 6

3) even in settings, while going from one menu to an other, it stucks.

4) while sliding to the next page in home, no smoothness at all. screen response of rubish 100€ tablets.

i am desperately trying to restore it to 6.1.3 but cannot because of famous 3194 error while in the meantime i have no such entry that is recomended to be disabled in etc file.

and of course i have made all recommendations above in settings etc...

at the end, i will simply give it away. i am not even interested in selling it!!!

pity...

I have an iPad 2....lol I have all these problems and more, so sad. Apps quitting or taking forever to do things. Trying to share a link on safari to an email or iMessage puts it in freeze mode and then it quits without ever sending the link. Many more problems! I guess I will wait and see if there are any updates to improve the situation...I hope.

Hi, I had ipad 4,many of the new apps are laggy while opening and when closing by gestures, especially the music app, calendar, notes almost all changed ones, and there are also some glitches of folders while rotating, and laginess on rotating,I liked the new UI, but I didn't recognize any battery drain or internet connectivity problems, infact internet connectivity improved a lot..hope these issues get fixed with the new update.

Hello.

I have the same laging and poor performance after changing to iOS 7.

Both update and later totally restoring didn't help.

iOS 7 is at least 2-3 times slower then iOS 6.

Some apps are getting stuck from time to time and only closing them and reopening helps.

Animations are slow. 3G is loosing connection often.

Even when I type this text I need many times to pause for iPad to rect and write down all typed text.

So what it's looking nice if I can't work with it?

Can anyone tell me how to change back to iOS 6?

I'm using iPad 3rd generation retina 32GB wifi + 3G

What a disaster this whole iOS7 thing is. Never mind the "controversial design" that I tried to like, but performance issues take to the whole new level of frustration. Just had to restart my Ipad 3 for the first time since I bought it, as Safari kept crashing. What is so magical about new Safari that iPad 3 can't handle? Stolen Dolphin skin? Haven't notice big change in battery, as iPad 3 was never particularly battery friendly device but still bunch of other highly annoying issues: keyboard and rotation lags. The good news is already a number of people trying to downgrade to iOS6, for whatever reason, and Apple quickly turned the plug on iOS6. From what I've read on forums Apple was suppose to have iOS6 on it's servers for a week or so! They obviously panicked and pulled this Berlin Wall crap. Bottom line is if your iPad 3 is slow on 7 there will be no magical update to fix performance issues since it's designed for A7 and beyond.

Keyboard lag to the point of inducing mistakes, battery down 80% overnight; horrific wall paper delay/not able to work, generally slow (especially safari and rotation). I don't have any of these problems on my iPhone 5 w iOS 7. Really disappointing. I have reset prefs, restored from a previous backup, and double checked my "lock" settings. Nothing resulted in a substantial improvement. I don't seem able to restore to iOS 6.

For about two days I had the same problems, lag, keyboard issues, wallpaper was taking ages to change, apps were. To opening closing properly, and the battery was a wreck.

I did a reboot this morning, and it has been working fine since. To do that you holddown on power button and home button (together) and let go when the apple logo appears. The device will reboot normally after that.

I lostno data doing that.

My iPad 3 initially had all sorts of problems after I loaded 7. Did a General Settings reset, hard (reset) boot, and while I won't say it's perfect it's fine.

Occasionally a bit slow doing some things, but it charges fine, battery life is ok, no keyboard lag, and no new crash types. Yes, changing wallpaper seems slow -- but so what? I did that ONCE. I was only unhappy for about an hour. But I remain mystified why some people seem to have a disaster on their hands.
