typing message iphone 4 is very slow in iOS 7

I have the same problem too, I have iPhone 4 and it's EFFINGLY slooooooooooooooooow. I am not having fun with texting/typing in general because it lags too much. I wonder why it's the basic problem of iOS 7 on an iPhone 4. Texting/typing has always been the problem ever since the prototype/beta came out...

Maybe this will be fix with an updaite.?. I have same problem and if i connect a external keyboard same problem.

Another web site is suggesting that the problem can be fixed by going to

Settings>iCloud>Documents and data and toggle the switch from off to on, then back to off again.

After the upgrade install to iOS7 I had this same typing delay, for my pass code entry, text messages, email, etc. The (iCloud) Documents and Data option was selected to yes (green), apparently by default. Turning it off cleared the problem completely. But now I cannot take advantage of this iCloud feature.

They should definitely fix the problem as soon as possible, however I don't know if this means you will not be able to use iCloud until there is a fix. I've just toggled the preference setting it back to on and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. Will not know for sure if it's a permanent fix, but toggliing the switch might just clear a corrupted setting somewhere. Try turning it back on and see if you still get the lag.

No, on my phone the typing lag occurs whenever that switch is on. The lag appears promptly after turning it on, and disappears promptly with turning it off.

Everything is super slow with iphone 4 and ios 7! At least you;re lucky: you get your text messages! I have to reboot 10 times a day to be able to! Plus the reboot is so long!

Maybe it works better on iphone 5?

That worked for me too but you HAVE to be sure to ALSO go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > RESET > RESET ALL SETTINGS

You won't lose any data, but it resets your setings to be more cohesive with iOS7. You can go in and change around to your preferances afterwards, but the reset must be done
