Random cable error after iOS 7 (no cable attached)

Anyone else getting this on an iPhone 5 after upgrading to iOS 7? Randomly, without a cable or accessory attached, I'm getting the "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not reliably work on this iPhone" error message! Perhaps my hands or fingers are the wrong type?! )))

It is a shame to see that this issue is one that continues to haunt us. I have an IPhone 4, 5 and multiple Ipad 2's. My daughter also has an IPhone 4s and we all are experiencing this menassing issue. It will even at times not charge because it says the cable is not supported. All of these devices worked perfectly before IOS7. My daughter got so frustrated with it, that she asked me today if she could replace her 4s for a Galaxy 4. Her contract is up and she is due a renewal. I am a Mac lover with multiple Mac Book pros in addition to the other devices, but regret that i am going to purchase her the android given the lack of response Apple has shown to this issue

Any resolve to this? I just started getting the same message over and over as well. I brought it to the Genius Bar and they cleaned it out. No sign of water damage but they seemed to think it was my fault. It's never been in water, barely ever dropped, I usually use all apple chargers, etc., I've tried fresh installs, restores and still come up empty. I'll try another apple store to see if they can replace it.

Any resolution to this yet? Mine is going nuts! It randomly reports certified cables as uncertified (generally varying between one certified cable to the next), it reports uncertified cables attached when no cable is attached, it reports nothing with an uncertified cable attached (only tried one), and I mean nothing, the cable works but it doesn't provide any acknowledgement that its working (like a charging icon even though it charges the phone).

What is the purpose of this software? Nagware? I can't think of a single benefit for the consumer that couldn't be in your print purchase literature. Apple should update their software and take this junk out as all it seems to do i make it inconvenient for their customers.

I just started having this problem last week. Frequency is not at all stable. Sometimes I don't notice it, sometimes like reading my books recently it seemed to be peppering me with those idiotic messages in lightening succession.

I've tried cleaning the device but I just can't tell well enough if I've made headway.

I appreciate Apple telling me about a potential cable issue, but I'd love a way to tell it to bugger off especially when I'm using certified products.

I continue to look for a solution before I throw my phone through the Apple stores glass.

my phone just started doing this and i want to impale myself on a seatless bicycle as a result. It's every 10 seconds and the during the rapid-fire warnings, it renders my phone useless. constants warnings also tax the battery. Why isn't there at least a "DO NOT SHOW AGAIN" button for warnings like these on mobile?

Obviously I've cleaned and reset et al. This is just stupid...
