How to clear unread email on IOS 7?

If you go to your inbox, scroll all the way to the bottom (it may pause & you wait and keep scrolling!)

Then push edit

Push Mark all

Then MARK AS READ

It will clear everything. If some are still not clear, it's because it's a multi e mail thread, push on the first one and you can clear that thread.

Worked very quickly!

I have the new Apple 5c and had the same problem. This is how I got rid of the Badge with the number of unread messages:

Go to Settings

Go to Notification Center

Tap on Phone

When at ALERT STYLE appears click on None

Do the same with Messages if you want!

I have this problem also but found the quickest way to resolve it was to delete my email account the reinstall it using the IMAP settings. ther eare instructions for setting up your email at godaddy that are easy to follow. With these instructions, your email addres and password its really very easy and took me less than two minutes (although I already knew how to add my godaddy account so did not need to refer to the tutorial. If thats your starting place then all you need is this http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/4714/setting-up-your-email-address-with- imap

I also set my email to use SSL and found easy instructions on the godaddy site for that and as you can see in the link above that the SSL ports are different for POP and IMAP.
