iTunes Match not working in iTunes 11.1

Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 11.1, the cloud logo in the top left corner is perpetually loading, and iTunes Match isn't working at all. Anyone else have this problem and have a solution? I've already tried signing in and out, deactivating iTunes Match and reactivating, etc...

I was getting iTM on neither my MBA nor iPad to work. MBA finally showed up. I set MBA to not sleep and several hours later, the songs and playlists finally appeared.

No such luck on iPad. I think it goes to sleep before it can finish loading at the glacially slow pace that Apple servers are streaming out the data.

Did you know that when they build a new sports arena, they flush every single toilet at once to see what will happen on game day?

Every time Apple pushes out new software, this s*** happens. EVERY TIME.

Everything should get back to normal once the vast majority of people updating their devices are done. Unfortunately that might take a day or two. And yes it's easy to complain that 'Apple should've done something in advance' but quite honestly, they kinda did.

With the amount of people tapping on the servers, they probably focused on keeping other things running, such as the iTunes and App Store, and iCloud services.

Due respect, there are ways to roll out this stuff so that users don't have expectations that can't be met. Apple simply calculates how many of us who will suffer on a rollout and decides it's worth it for the business. They know EXACTLY what will happen on release day. It's not like they haven't done this before.

It's not an intracable problem.

Yep... same thing for me... still. Per support, Apple apparntly runs their iOS updates / iTunes Store / iTunes Match services through the SAME servers and they are pegged/busy and complicated processes like iTunes Match are failing.

Did anyone else have most of their iTunes 11.1 iCloud items report 'Waiting', some now say 'Duplicate.' after the upgrade. Running a manual iTunes Match run doesn't fix. Very frustrating... probably the pegged server issue.

You would think a computer company would know how to distribute and load balance their systems for a rollout better.
