Yea hes rite. In the iOS7 update it dosent have an option to turn facetime or imessage off or on. anyone have a good solution that could work for all of us. Plz help!
I had the same issues with iOS 7.1.2 and did as Peter Paul indicates and it solved the problem. Great solution
Make sure you check BOTH time and date. My time was correct but date was a day ahead. Didn't notice the wrong date for several hours of hair pulling and cursing Apple!
try to sign with your second email for Apple ID
this problems just drive me crazy, it happen after i changes my Apple ID.
here is the only way i found and its work;
default reset and i cloud restore should be work, but it just take too long.
this is the quick way that work for me.
setting-general-date and time- set your time zone back to manual and changes your time zone back to the place where you did last upgrade or i cloud restore.
go to i message setting and turn of i message then turn on again, it will asking the password.
when your i message working then face time and i cloud will asking for password too, and yes all work for me.
you can set your date back to your current time zone or automatically after that.
try it if you like,.
anyway that was work for me at least. 🙂
I did not have this problem until today, when suddenly I was unable to send iMessages or receive them. None of the earlier replies worked for me, not even the 8.8.8.8 theory, which seemed go work for quite a lot of people. Strangely enough, what actually worked was:
1. Settings > Date and Time
2. I had my time set on manual. I changed it to automatic, and, voila, it worked. No idea why.
I really hope this helped because I know just how frustrating this was, even though it only lasted a measly few hours for me 🙂
