On itunes 11.1, can you delete podcast episodes? All old episodes appear in the list, and right click/delete is not an option.

In iTunes 11.1, all podcasts episodes appear in the list.

I cannot delete any from the list - if I right click and choose delete, the episode is still in the list and shows it can be downloaded.

How do you delete an episode of a podcast in iTunes 11.1

iTunes-OTHER, Windows 7

Before, downloading, syncronizing between Mac and iOS units was super simple.

Now, with iTunes 11.1 and the iOS Podcast app I don't even understand how to do things simply !!!

And haven't you noticed the same difficulty with Books and the iBook App.

Come on Apple ! Wake Up ! Make things simple to use again !

I am thinking of using third party apps on the Mac and my iPhone to listen to Podcasts.

For me it's all the options to download episodes that I've already listened to that is so annoying. They were next appearing on my iPhone with an option to download or stream on the phone. Would cost me a fortune as I am pay as you go. Tried downloading the episodes on my MacBook then deleting but then the option to download again returned. Not AppleMac friendly. Where did this sort of idea come from? Don't remember things like this ever, from as far back as my SE/30!!!!!

judijay: as far as I can see, deleting them in "Unplayed" view doesn't remove them from "List" view, so I don't think that really addresses the issue.

Folks: just complaining here is unlikely to get us anywhere. Please help push Apple along on this via the "Provide iTunes Feedback" option in your copy of iTunes (dropdown from the iTunes menu, found just under thr Preferences option).

We know this blog is monitored by Apple so don't know if the feedback helps.

What is very revealing is that it has not yet been resolved. I don't think Apple really care about customers. That sort of attitude only works for a monopoly.

Eventually their business will suffer by not listening and it will be the beginning of the downward spiral. Organisations like Apple and Microsoft think they are above the rule which links customer relations with business success. When it comes to upgrading, I am sure all Apple users will remember Apples poor attitude and inadequate responses in these situations. An alternative, when one becomes available, will be more closely explored and that starts the sales slump.

For example, I am already in the situation of never being able to upgrade my iPod Touch owing to my very expensive hi fi units being unable to dock with the new interface. So I am already a lost customer to Apple. My new mobile is Samsung.

It is sad, really, but we see it over and over again when businesses become too dominant and arrogant.

Suggest some quick response to this problem is more vital than Apple appear to appreciate. Even a response on this forum that they are investigating would be welcome.

I wonder if they will allow the above or if it infringes the rules. Will soon see, I suppose.
