Mailboxes disappeared ios 7

Same thing happened to me this morning - lost all mailboxes except exchange. Looked over the posts here and did a restart. All mailboxes returned.

I was going to begin this with an iOS 7 rant but decided to stay on topic...

Same issue. Like Razor I have a mix of mail accounts. Just wanted to confirm that omueller's quick and dirty method worked for me. Closing mail in the task bar brought everything back. I'm assuming it's only a temporary fix, but at least it's a quick one.

Same issue happened to my Iphone 4S and my wife's Iphone 5, I had 3 email accounts and suddnely i can only see one, so I added one more account and all the accounts appeared ...few days later they all disappeared again...then I deleted one of the accounts then they all appeared again...sounds crazy...but it's working fine now for the last 4 days...

I have this problem also, however, the six listed here is only temporary. I have had the mailboxes disappear about three or four times. Each time they disappear it's all of that iCloud and pop accounts that disappear though my exchange and Gmail accounts don't disappear. I restarted the phone one time and the accounts came back. Other times when the accounts disappeared I also went into the mail settings and saw that the accounts are still there when I went back to the mail app to find the accounts were now back.

So, we aren't losing the accounts, here just having some kind of display issue. Until apple fixes it we can use the various methods to make our accounts redisplay.

This has happened both on my Iphone 4s and Ipad 2. On the I Ipad I restarted and the e-mail account came back. On the iphone i waited and about 2 hours later the missing account came back.

Frankly I'm loving it. Reminds me of all the days of living with Microsoft and the oddities of Windows. Can you scream Control-alt-delete!! Or wait how about another update that hides the software failures with something about security needing to be updated.

Just glad I am not alone and that no data has been lost.

Upgraded my 4s to 7.02 and still having this disappearing mailboxes. Restarting the phone only temporarily fixed it, it comes back every now and then. I found quickest method to solve it temporarily is to shut down the mail app from multitasking then open it back up again

Same problem. It changes email on my 4s from a useful tool to a 5 minute problem. Shutting down sometimes helps, removing/adding a mail account usually helps, but it shouldn't happen at all, and it happens 2-3x a day.

I love it when all boxes completely disappear and it puts to back to the starting screen where you can choose different type of email exchanges...happened on 7.0 and still happening on 7.02....go figure Apple.

Same problem... 4s and IOS7. Once I also lost all contacts till my phone was reconected to iCloud...

Count me in too - both my Exchange and Gmail inboxes randomly disappear once every few days, and reappear at random too. Very frustrating when I'm waiting on an important email.

I've the same problem, yes, restarting Iphone will solve the problem but it keeps happening to me. I hope apple can solve this issue.

Same here, loosing mailboxes at random every few days.

Device restaring makes them active again, but the ordering of the mailbox list will be changed every time too.

Having lot's om stability issues after the update to IOS 7...

Since upgrade to ios7--on my 4S, all email accounts will disappear (I run my own company so I have 14 email accounts...I rely on the phone for business purposes). I've noticed that at random times I'm not receiving emails (when usually there are always emails coming in). A quick check will show that no email accounts exist on my mail app (shows the startup screen for email to add a new account). However, checking accounts under mail settings show all accounts (and related info) are on the phone and active. If you kill the mail app and then reopen, suddenly all accounts (and their respective emails) have magically reappeared.

It happens at completely random times, no rhyme or reason.

Been using iPhone since inception, but this is a real problem since this is for business use and I can't afford to miss time sensitive emails. Already leaning towards a possible change in phone...this may be the straw.

My wife just had this with her gmail account on her iPad mini iOS 7. Deleted her account password in Settings, Mail and rentered it and the mail appeared back again.
