Mailboxes disappeared ios 7

I updated my iphone 4s to ios 7 without problems, and everything was working fine. This morning I woke up and half of my email accounts are missing from mail. When I look in settings the accounts are all listed and active, but in mail itself it only shows the two Exchange-based accounts. I have tried removing and readding one (iCloud me.com account) to see if it placed it back in my mailbox list, but with no luck. The fact the accoutns were there last night and are gone 6 hours later seems suspect. Anyone else had this issue, and if so, any luck resolving it?

Same situation here: 4s, multiple mail accounts all visible immediately after upgrade for several hours, then mysteriously disappeared. Disappearance was not as a result of any change of settings - it actually happened while I was not using my phone. I picked it up, and noticed that the count of unread mail had drastically changed. Original accounts are all present under mail section in Settings. Just gone from the actual application. Any ideas?

It also occasionally loses the other config about email. I used the edit button to put them in a certain order. Occasionally they go back to some default order. Occasionally they all disappear. It happened yesterday on my wife's iPad.

I wonder if the mail app config data is stored in iCloud and if it has any trouble with that (which seems constant for other things too) then it defaults to the initial config screen. Hard stop and try again, it is able to access iCloud, and all is well again (until next time).

Yeah, my iPhone 4s was great before iOS7. But now I wonder why would I upgrade to iPhone 5s instead of any Android or Windows device??? I am sure I can get similar low quality at a lower price.

I had exactly this problem this morning, first time it happened since installing ios7 last September.

I went to settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - then clicked on mail account that did not appear in the mail app, it opened, I then hit 'Done' and came out of settings and back into the mail app and the account had returned!

I must say that I am disappointed that Apple have not made any comments in the thread (as far as I can see). But then Apple has been consistent in letting us down since ios5

I got an iPad Mini at Christmas and it has been on pretty much ever since. I have iOS7 and four email accounts set up and this week the Mini lost all account information. I was using Mail when I put it down, and when I woke it up the inbox was gone. I quit Mail and restarted it and it gave me the Mail setup screen, as if I had not yet set up any accounts. i went to Settings and it showed all my accounts still there. the IT Crowd solution "have you tried switching it off and back on again? " worked.

Ever since updating my wife's 4s to iOS 7, this problem started appearing. I've noticed it mostly when trying to email a photo. You click on the Send icon, select Email, and you get the dialog for setting-up a new email account.

Going into Settings and turning on/off anything seems to re-set everything and email works again. But, this is something that really shouldn't be happening in the first place.
