When i have plugged my guitar in, and choose a distortion amp in the library, there is always a horrible high pitched crackling/buzzing, and its all i can hear really, any suggestions?
Logic Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
i doubt i would spend more than 75 quid on a guitar interface, so i would say thats my budget

I have the exact same problem. Everything you describe happens to me.
Although I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Which is a $300 interface.
I used a friends interface too, just to see what happened and it still did it and that was an even better interface than mine.
I have the exact same problem. I am using Logic Pro 10 and a Mackie Profx8 USB mixer with a MacBook Air. I also tested a Behringer UCA222 that I have used in the past without a problem. Clean guitar sounds great, some distorted guitar if fine also but most are extremely noisy, its like the noise gate is amplifying the feedback. I have been playing around with this for to nights and cannot get it to go away.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
