Itunes Radio "My Stations" won't play

I have no idea what J-pop is but this doesn't seem to be the case in my experience thus far. I created a very eclectic list of world music artists in what is likely a smaller category than any pop genre and it simply would not play at all. Once I deleted the 16th "seed" artist, it plays. Add it back in, it fails with no warning and no error.

Seems like an obvious and reproducible bug.

Additionally, the station has played the same track by the same artist 3 times in 2 hours of listening. Inexcusable. I have also heard one ad (Apple iTunes Festival) at least 5 times.

There appears to be a 15 artist limit. Any time I go over the station eventually stops playing. Once it does, I have to reduce the number of artists to 15 for the play button to work.

Yep. Same thing for me - I had eighteen artists and my station wouldn't play (with no error message or other indication why). When I dropped it to 15, it started working again.

My station dies after the first song and won't start playing and had to be deleted. This will make it hard to use iTunes Radio as my main music source.

Wish I had read all this before I tried to use it. Worked well as I created a few stations with several artists. So I went to town and added 30 or 40 to each. Ugh - what a waste of time. Squeezebox, Pandora and a few Internet radio stations it is for me then. Not likely to buy any tracks from iTunes that way, however.

Same problem here. Deleted artists down to 15 and the station plays. probably going back to Pandora for another year till Apple has the bugs worked out of this product.

I have a station that won't play, and it has only one, well-known, artist set as the seed AND the station is set to "Discovery" (so I ought to be getting pleanty of music choices).

I agree; Apple rushed to release a half-ready version (in fact all of 10.9 seems to be half ready). Going back to Pandora.

I fixed my J-pop station by deleting the old one and creating a new one not based on the genre, but using a seed artist from that genre. As songs played that fit, I added them and such. After some fine tuning, I get a decent selection mostly in my genre.

This glitch is a deal killer for me as I am shopping around for ad free and highly customizable internet radio. Bummer.

In the past month, iTunes Radio has really improved. My J-pop station (really L'arc-en-ciel) now plays all day with few repeats. I don't know if iTunes added more artists in that genre or simply fixed how it selects similar artists, but it works great now.

I tried itunes radio. It worked once. Every other time, it just "loading" or "searching"... Back to Pandora, which actually works. Apple, come on.

I have the same problem. Create a custom station listen to it for a day and then it becomes unavailable. Now when I go to my IPad, the station plays. I plan on listening to it all day and see if it becomes unavailable after several hours.

Does anyone paying for Match report the same problem?

I do have to say, though: This is pretty absurd. I mean...15??? I could see a threshold somewhere around 100, but to limit a station like this to 15 completely negates the use of the "play more like this" function. Even in a fairly specific station (I have a Shpongle station, for example), arriving at 15 artists happens quickly. On Pandora, I love having a station with tons of genres. Everything from Tower of Power, to Meshuggah, to Orbital, to Stravinsky. There's no way to create a station like that with this current bug.

Come on, Apple...we're counting on you for quality content. Time to start delivering.
