This actually does worked on my Iphone 5S and my Ipad using iOS 8.3 as of June 25 2015 .

Everyone who is having this error try this out.

Like he said,

Plug in your Iphone/Ipad to your computer.

Make some chances to your current apps, music, videos, etc and then instead of clicking "Sync" click "APPLY"

After clicking "Apply" iTunes will start transferring all your apps, movies, music etc like if it was a new phone.

It takes like 10 minutes to re-sync it all but it works like a charm.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM:

"You have apps on the phone that were purchased with a different Apple ID than the one that the computer is Authorized for. You need to add the Apple ID to iTunes that those apps were purchased with. It is OK to have iTunes authorized to more than one Apple ID."

The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow the steps below:

  1. Select a purchased song in your library.
  2. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Get Info.
Windows: Press Control and B on your keyboard to turn on the iTunes menu bar. From the menu bar, choose File > Get Info. Learn more about menus in iTunes for Windows.
  3. Click the File tab. Make note of the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) that you need to use when you authorize your computer to play this purchase.
The Apple ID that appears is the one that you used when you purchased the item. The Apple ID you used to purchase the item doesn't change, even if you change your Apple ID.
  4. Authorize your computer.

If you authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary File tab, check your purchase history for that Apple ID. If your purchase history doesn't reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, think about any other Apple ID you might have created, and authorize your computer for that Apple ID.

If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.

I realized my issue had to do with purchasing apps with two different Apple/iTunes IDs.

This is what solved the issue for me:

  1. Deauthorize and signed out of all iTunes on all Macs.
  2. Log out of iTunes on mobile device.
  3. Sign in to iTunes on one Mac and mobile device with main iTunes login.
  4. Authorize Mac with main iTunes account login.
  5. Authorize for any other Apple/iTunes accounts you may have. (Yes, you can authorize more than want ID)
  6. Sync Device

Thank you. This worked for me.

To clarify for others, I purchased a new iPad for my daughter, and have given her her own Apple ID. The apps (including the IOS 9.1 update) installed were done under this new Apple ID.

My daughter is 7, but I don't think that the age was the issue. Her account was registered under Family Sharing, so that wasn't the issue either.

The problem was that my mac was not authorized for this new Apple ID. It would not sync the new iPad. Simply re-entering the password for own Apple ID does not help.

I needed to authorize my Mac for my daughter's new Apple ID. Problem solved.

the iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for purchased items that are on this iPhone
