iWork syncing not working since iOS 7 install

Hi,

Since installing iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 and iPad mini, I've noticed that my iWork documents have stopped syncing across devices (those 2 mentioned and my MacBook Pro). This applies to all three iWork applications. On iOS, documents say they are updating, and I get the blue progress bar within folders and on specific documents, but the update never goes through. On the Mac and in the iWork application's iCloud folder, updated or new documents just say "Waiting" with a little cloud picture-- this is what I usually get when I don't have internet access.

Furthermore, I cannot access my documents from the iCloud.com website. If I log in and attempt to navigate to one of the iWork for iCloud programs, I just get sent back out to the icloud.com main menu screen and am asked to reenter my login info. I CAN access all other features of icloud.com without issue (Mail, Notes, Reminders, etc.), so this isn't a total iCloud problem.

I have tried restarting all devices. I have also tried turning off iCloud document syncing on both iOS devices, letting the items get deleted, and then turning it back on... all to no avail (haven't tried this on my Mac because I don't want to lose all the docs I have created or updated since the problem started).Accor

According to Apple's System Status page, Documents in iCloud is running without issue. Is anyone else having this problem? And are there any other potential solutions that I haven't thought of?

Thanks!

Kyle

Note the restoring of syncing reported today at similar thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5325841?start=90&tstart=0. Best download the iOS 7.0.2 update and then open a document in an iWork app. Actually opening a document and exiting it seems to trigger the syncing again. Some documents may be duplicated but at least in my case thankfully they're all there.

I understand the syncing of Notes, Mail, Calendar, etc. is done via a different iCloud protocol. That syncing was never broken for me, just the iWork (and third-party) apps using the documents and data syncing protocol. Anyway, for many users at least, all syncing seems to be back to normal, as well as access to the iWork for iCloud beta apps that can be seen after logging into iCloud in a browser.

I'm facing the same problem. I installed iOS 7.0.2 on 28th Sep on my iOS devices. My Numbers documents in iPhone 5s started to sync accord my iPad 4, however when I closed the Numbers page, the iPhone screen suddenly turned to blue & log off immediately & restarted automatically. I did try it again & again but the problem still can't solve.

Dod i Need to upgrade my pages app to the very latest version to make this syncing happen? I'm currently running pages 09 on macbook

I use Numbers, not Pages, but I would guess it's the same. If you're using the latest version of the app on iPhone and iPad, and you want documents to sync to your Mac, then you need to upgrade on the Mac too via the Mac App Store. That's free and the upgrade process places your old version of the iWork apps in a folder within the Applications folder on your Mac so you haven't "lost" anything in case you don't like the new version and still want to work with the old version too for a while. But for the syncing to work well, you've got to have the latest.

After various "upgrades" (iTunes, iOS, iWork, etc.) certain documents in Numbers ceased syncing across all of my devices (iMac, MB Pro, iPhone, & iPad). The problem was exclusively with my iPhone 5. When I created new documents on any of the devices in Numbers, syncing was fine. However older Numbers files (coincidentally or not, all originally from Excel files) would not be downloaded/uploaded from the iPhone. I conducted extensive troubleshooting to no avail (for example, uninstalling and reinstalling all the Apps, restoring the iPhone, etc.) and hoped that an update to something would "debug" the problem eventually. After 3-6 months of such efforts, I called the Apple support line and the issue was eventually escalated. After repeating all of the troubleshooting efforts I had previously performed, the technician finally directed me to the "nuclear" option of restoring the phone as a new phone (I had previously restored from a back-up). This solved the issue, although I had to subsequently spend hours getting my phone back to original settings, configuration, etc.

Rod, were all in the same boat. I concluded after hours of screwing around, deciphering Apple lingo, all we can do is wait for I cloud drive to work with the release of some software promised for the fall of this year. So with my limited use but important use of the cloud for numbers and pages it is gone, as in my Mac air and my Phone won't sync. When asked if I wanted to upgrade to icloud drive, I should have clicked " Not now" Never dreamed it wouldn't work.
