IOS 7 Music videos

I knew I will be somehow disappointed when I upgraded to iOS 7, with something I use frequently and every day while am in the car or at the GYM or walking around.

Again the issue with the music player , music videos doesn't play in full screen anymore why !!

It plays the video in small square window and if u tilt the iPhone it won't show full screen instead the sound wall will be displayed. At least make an option to make us chose to enable or disable the sound wall.

But basically I want to have the full frame video.

Or in video app try to enable creating playlist and to enable jump to next video or previous video.

Though I see it stupid option the whole video app, basically because I like to listen to mix list video and sound only specially if am at the GYM or walking around.

Really guys I know u r stubborn and hardly listen to people opinion but why you have to screw something nice you have achieved. music player were nice app instead you screwed it up... Not enough am not using the map anymore you want us to band the music app as well...

Do something soon for god sake.

One more issue .. Am searching for a song in my list the search find it but when I click on it , it won't play as if you are telling me "yea, right! You have it in your play list" and then what!!!

Or simply tell me how to solve the issue maybe I have lack of information!

It's a shame, first the stupid map, then power button, then the home button and now loss of functionality in the worlds worst IOS ever. I am converting to Samsung permanently. Does the Ghost of Steve work now for Samsung? Apple has so lost its way....

This *****, I just noticed that I'm only able to play my itune music and movie video in full screen using the video app....I just can't use that functionality in itunes....oh well at least I can watch them full screen...

I've been following this issue that apple has had for a while now. Had to finally post on this.

Lets be real: Apple is aware of the issue, and they dont really care. Trouble with music video playback has been going on since at least ios5. Lets not pretend this is just an ios7 thing.

I know ive made multiple complaints directly to apple to bring up the issue. If anything, it has just slowly gotten worse over time.

So why would they slowly assault our playback of music videos? im not totally sure, but its probably to stop people from downloading videos from youtube and using them for playing back their music.

So bottom line: apple knows this is an issue. apple doesnt care. apple would RATHER have it this way. complaining is worthless. just use a different app to playback your music and save yourselves the headache/time.

You can view music videos in the landscape position but you have to use the "videos" app.. it right there under music videos...

We are discussing abt the music app not video, you can only watch videos in landscape mode in video app, and you cannot create playlist so every time you have to select next video. With music app one can could create playlist of music videos but now can't see them in landscape mode.

Janni was right! Just bought MVP Video Playlist... Music videos playlist came up and I clicked it, then I figured out how to make it shuffle (bottom right button, "Play One" click it till it says shuffle) Still ****** that I had to pay $2.99 to get back something Apple nerfed, but at least I can watch MV's while on the elliptical at the gym...

You are welcome. I heard that iOS 7.0.3 is comming soon. Let's hope that Apple fixed this removed functionality.

I'm sorry to share some bad news.
I opened a ticket with Apple (Ticket # 509215159) regarding the missing music video playback in landscape or full screen from the Music App using a playlist. I requested that Apple escalated to engineering after I demonstrated this was not an issue with my iPhone 5S with IOS 7, rather it’s an issue with IOS 7 for all iPhone users.
The answer I received from Apple engineering is that the change to the Music application is an intentional change.
We will no longer be able to play Music Video's from the music app by playlist in Landscape or full screen, instead turn your phone to landscape mode and you get a screen saver of music albums.
It certainly doesn’t make sense to me, so I agree with all of you expressing dissatisfaction with this change.

Here is what I did to make sure Apple Corporate is aware that customers are unhappy with this missing feature:

1) I opened ticket with Apple.

2) I submitted feedback.

3) I called Corporate Customer Relations in California. I shared my discontent with removing the music video playback feature in IOS7 to the Apple Corporate relations.
Please feel free to do the same and ask everyone you know that is unhappy with this change to express their concerns as well. The more people we get to inform Apple this change is unwelcome the quicker we will get the developers to bring the function back.

PLEASE CALL APPLE CORPORATE CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND SHARE YOUR CONCERNS:

I'm so thankful I did not upgrade to IOS 7 on my previous IPhone 5.
I purchased an iPhone 5s with IOS 7.
Since I'm within the first 14 days, I plan to return the iPhone 5S with IOS 7 since I find it completely unacceptable to tell customers that something they use frequently is no longer needed.
I feel Apple is starting to loose connection with their customers. I'm a strong Apple advocate, but I feel that when you don't listen to your customer, you start loosing the loyalty.

FYI, the MVP Video Player app does NOT display the video in FULL screen. It will display the video in Landscape mode (unlike the IOS7 Music player), but the MVP player shows the name of the video at the top of the screen, and the playback buttons at the bottom of the screen (Iphone 5). This means that all videos will be reduced in size when played in MVP (16:9 and 4:3 videos). Before IOS7, I was able to play videos that were recorded in 4:3 mode, in full screen on the iphone, by tapping the video to make it fill the screen. This can still be done in the Video App, but as was stated earlier, you can't play a playlist in the Video App. So for now, there is no real workaround for me.

I just realized how to display the video in full screen within the MVP player, my apologies. You can use the pinch to zoom feature to display the video in full screen. So I do have my workaround, too bad I had to pay $2.99 for MVP, just to play my videos in landscape. That's a BAD apple!

Thanks. I just purchased the app. Its much better than the current Music or Video app on IOS. I will use this to satisfy my need to play music videos in lanscape mode. Is this the best app in the App Store. Although it doesnt play in full screen, its certainly much better than the alternative available from the music or video app. I appreciate you sharing. The $2.99 price is worth the satisfaction of having an application that works well.

I switched from Apple Maps to Motion X when the Map issue occurred and never went back to use the map app. I think Motion X is awesome.

Yes, the full screen in landscape works very well. This may just keeo me on IOS 7.

Too bad you cant go in and share this with all the other unhappy users.
