Apple TV ( latest ) Upgrading the software but appear to be stuck in a loop. Upgrade seemed to go through until I was invited to connect my box to a blue icon with a music note in it ( itunes ?) .It is now stuck with the white light flashing ! Help !
I have the same problem. No idea what to do about it except wait for the next update, I guess!
ATV has been great. Airplay from MacBook Pro and iPad 4 Updated Always worked. Upgraded Friday night 9/23 before I read about problems. Airplay from MacBook Pro works but takes 10 seconds to show laptop screen. Tried iPad and TV goes dark and never mirrors iPad.
Like a fool I updated my Apple TV3 without thinking and now it only sees 44 of the 58 movies on iTunes. Exactly what happened when I updated my Apple TV2. So at least I know it is due to the update of Apple TV and not gen 2 or gen 3. That is a small comfort. Come on Apple, get it right. Old Steve should be turning over in his grave about now.

Had a similar problem after the latest update on the Apple Tv (3rd Gen) - about half of my movies had disappeared from the 'Movies' category within AppleTV, but have found all the missing ones in the 'new' category of 'Home Video'. In iTunes, I had to go to my Movies section, click 'Home Videos' at the top to find all the excluded movies, select all, Get Info, select 'Options', then change the 'Media Kind' to 'Movie'.
All the missing movies then updated and now appear correctly where I expect them to!
