parallax effect

So I'm seeing all these videos about the parallax effect for the iOS 7. As well, in these videos, I noticed that the background of the task bar and folders have a low opacity, or more translucent. I read that it works on the 4S. However, looking at my 4S screen, the task bar and folder backgrounds are a solid grey (ugly looking), and I don't see any "3D" effect. Motion reduce is off. Can someone confirm if this effect should work on the 4S or not?

Thanks.

Apparently, the parallax effect shouldn't even be working on the iPhone 4, hence why you don't see the Reduce Motion option. But if people are experiencing the effect on their iPhone 4, it has to be a glitch. Unfortunately, I haven't come across a solution for your problem. Hopefully, Apple is aware of this, and will address on future updates. My suggestion for now, since the parallax effect intensity is determined by what image you are using. Some images, like pics of people, are more obvious with the effect than others. At least that's what I've found on my 4S. I use a flat graphical image (logo on a red background), and it's much more subtle than a pic of my kid, with Disneyland castle in the background. Hopefully, that helps. Let us know.

That's not the Parallax effect. That's just how iOS 7 animates the icons. Not much different from iOS 6. Sorry to hear that it makes you feel motion sickness. Guess, some people are just more susceptible to that kind of thing. Unfortunately, there is no way of turning it off, it's just how iOS 7 is. Maybe Apple will address it if there are enough people who complain.
