My iTunes won't sync my music back onto my iPhone after ios7 update.. HELP!!!!

Hmm... I'm no iPhone expert, just a guy who found a lucky fix?!? The only other thing I know to suggest is to check and make sure that, when plugged in, your phone is recognized by iTunes and listed under the "devices" section in iTunes (I'm running version 11.1.3). I notice on mine that the "shared" option only shows up once iTunes recognizes the device. Other than that... I am out of ideas?!? Hope you figure it out!

I too am having this problem, my itunes version is 11.1.3.8.

I have the iphone 4 and it is running 7.0.4. When the phone is plugged into the computer, itunes sees the phone.

It starts to sync but it doesn't actually bring the new playlists onto my phone. The playlists are selected/ticked but once the sync has completed, the playlist is not on my phone...

I've tried all the suggestions here, but nothing is working! help anyone! :-(

I'm having the same issue.

Just updated to the newest version of iTunes (11.1.4) and still no change. I don't get "shared" when I look at "more" on my iPhone, even when i'm connected to iTunes. I have plenty of space on my iPhone and all sync settings are correct.

So frustrating - I've trying syncing about 10 times now, restarted both iPhone, Mac and iTunes.

Anything else I can try??!!

After a LOT of research, I found a simple step that solved this issue for me.
I had been running my sync (pre - IOS 7.4) as automatic - see the options section under the summary tab

I changed my selection to manually manage music and videos and tried another sync
Wha La!
It began to copy over 700 songs that had not properly synced to my Ipad 2
BONUS: it then started to sync my videos again.
Hope this helps somebody.
It certainly made my life less frustrating

Downside: I have to MANUALLY manage - but it's better than all the hassles

NB: I don't know why this error occurs and I'm not sure this fix will work for everyone's issues but it can't hurt.

I wonder if just doing this once will fix the issue and I can turn it back to automatic? Or do I have to do this every time I want to sync? There must be a way to get it working properly without it having to be a temporary or manual fix.

One thing that worked for me was when i went to itunes on my computer clicked on "iphone" and scrolled down to the bottom where it said options, i unchecked "manually manage your songs and videos" then my music started automatically downloading!

I have tried everything that is on this page and it still wont work! I originally had to delete all my music off my phone to get rid of duplicates of my purchased items but when I tried to sync back all the music that is on my computer, it is syncing maybe 50 songs and I have nearly 600 songs. Someone help me please!!
