Playing iPhone 5s slow-motion video via AirPlay on an Apple TV

Anyone having trouble playing slow-motion video via AirPlay on an Apple TV? I've got the iPhone and Apple TV updated to the newest iOS versions, other videos play fine through AirPlay, but any shot with the new Slow-motion feature only have their sound come through, no picture.

That doesn't work because when you import it into iMovie, the slo-motion part of the video is no longer there and the whole thing plays at normal speed

There is a big misunderstanding of what the whole 120fps thing means.

The extra fps are there in order to achieve great quality slow motion.

Playing a 120fps movie at 120fps is real time speed. A movie recorded in 120fps does not equate a "slow motion" movie.

What you need is to put it, say, in a 30fps timeline and slow it down. The extra frames will be used to generate a SMOTH 30fps movie playing in slow motion.

I've now downloaded and installed the latest iOS update 7.0.3 as well as all the updated iLife apps.

Slo-mo is now supported to ATV via the Camera app or iMovie. Slo-mo is also supported when you save to iMovie theater.

Sadly, the only way to Airplay to ATV from these apps is via Wifi. If you use Cat5, it won't work. Ya gotta be kidding me!! The Apple help file states that it will only work on Wifi.

A work around is to save to iMovie theater and then watch that from ATV if you want your ATV to remain hardwired to your network.

<sigh> So close....

Wifi or ethernet, completely updated (ATV and iOS 7.0.3 on my 5S), still the exact same problems using straight up Airplay.

iMovie shows the first frame and that's it, doesn't play anything but sound, just like the Photos app.

Slow motion shots with the SloPro app (used to be only 60fps, but does 120fps on the 5S) shot at 120 fps then saved to the Camera Roll airplay to ATV just fine - which is odd.

@jntiphone, are you using Airplay from the control center or within the app?

Assuming wifi is turned on for ATV, when you play a slo-mo clip from the photo app, touch the middle of the screen while the clip is playing and you should see the Airplay icon in the lower right. Touch that icon and then choose ATV.

If ATV is not on wifi, the Airplay icon will not be visible within the app.

I was having this issue trying to play slow Mo video via my iPhone 5s to the Apple TV. Wouldn't work no matter what I did. I then airdropped the video to my iPad mini and it would AirPlay the slowmo video to the Apple TV. Can't figure out why one would work and the other one wouldn't work.
