Playing iPhone 5s slow-motion video via AirPlay on an Apple TV

Having read all these posts, it seems the only quick way to watch slo mo on ATV is to click air play then click mirroring then try playing slo mo vid, works for me!

havent needed to try the sending to my ipad then playing it through that. will try that if it dont work through my iphone.

But it would be simpler for Apple to update us a quick fix "just saying!"

Same for me with airplay but I use the mirror feature and that works.

Not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but it seems to work fairly well if you post it directly to YouTube from your phone. It retains the slow motion and looks like it has decent quality.

Same problem for me with the most up to date OS. However, if I transfer the video file to an iphone 5 then it works via air-play. Something is wrong with the 5S transfer.

I tried uploading to YouTube directly from my 5S, during the upload the slo mo was showing that it was intact however when played back on YouTube via airplay the slo mo disappeared. This is really unacceptable by Apple. What's taking so long to fix it?

The slo-mo Airplay to Apple TV is working fine for me now with the Developer version of iOS 7.1. I am not mirroring the display, just regular airplay. Not long to wait now I guess until it is released.

That's good to know. I haven't had an Apple TV since buying a legit dev account and using 7.1. Now I'm curious to try it out again...

I was able to get slo-mo uploaded to YouTube via the share feature, which when played back in YouTube app over airplay retained the slo-mo effect. I guess this is what you need to do until 7.1 comes out.

For that to work, do you require the last beta on the Apple TV itself or just on the iPhone?

I figured it out! The only way I could get it to work is to first open a regular non slow motion video in camera roll. Then swipe over (do not go back out to where you can see all pics/vids) you have to swipe and then and only then will slow mo work. Otherwise i only will get sound when playing slow mo. It works with my gen 3 apple tv with the latest update and my iphone 5s running the latest ios 7.0.6. Again the trick is to first play a regular speed video and then swipe over to the slow mo vid without backing out to the gallery. Hope this helps.

Well after how many months Apple has finally fixed slo mo playback on the Apple TV. 7.1 on the phone and the latest Apple TV iOS, 6.1 has done the trick.

I had same problem 240fps slo-motion with Apple TV by airplay.

But I find a way and successfully play it to Apple TV.

Just one way, Let edit my video through iMove and save to new video.

The new video can easy airplay to APPLE TV.

Right now, I happy edit my video and easy combine good music with video now.

The 120 nor 240 fps didn't play via AirPlay on my Apple TV (2nd gen MC572FD/A Software 6.2.1 updated) from my

iPhone 6 128gb (IOS 8.1).

It didn't play via AirPlay on my Internet box (Freebox) but with 60 fps video : no pronlem :/
