Vibrate not working at all with iOS7

I updated to iOS7 the day it came out and thought all was going fine but only now, I'm realizing that the vibrate feature hasn't worked once since.

Prevoiusly, I just thought that it doesn't vibrate when my phone is plugged in (when I'd receive text messages) but it just dawned on me that it hasn't vibrated at all since. When I switch from Normal mode to Silent mode, no vibration. When I go to settings and try out the different Vibrate modes, I feel nothing. My phone doesn't vibrate when I plug it into my laptop as well. I'm wondering something happened between when I upgraded to iOS7?

Is there any way to troubleshoot this problem?

I just reset my iPhone today (all content and settings) and restored it to a recent backup but still the same issue.

Do you think I should just take it to an Apple Specialist at the Apple Store?

Swipe up from the bottom of your phone screen. You should see a gray screen. Make sure the moon on the top row is black. That will assure that "do not disturb" is turned off. That solved my problem.

It appeared correct on my traditional settings screen, but on this one the moon was white (indicating "do not disturb" was on). Once I switched it to black(off) my phone worked (had sounds and vibration) again.

OK guys, this worked for me. I was in a quiet room and I somehow heard that when I toggle the vibrate switch in Settings->Sounds (both for the Vibrate on Ring and Vibrate on Silent in iOS 7) on and off something was ticking but wasn't coming from the speaker. It was from the inside. The sound was really weak and hard to notice. Anyway, I thought that little slap on the back of the phone won't do any harm. I slapped, but not hard, really slow and weak, near the Apple logo and magically, on the next set of the vibrate switch I felt the vibration.

So, for me, it wasn't a software problem, but more of a hardware one. I would note here that the iPhone is a brand new, iPhone 5s. In my opinion if it was a software problem many more people would have noticed as well.

Also, I do not recommend slapping the iPhone, you better take your iPhone to the Apple Store and let a genius see it.

Same problem here with my iPhone 5. The it vibrates briefly as it is supposed when i flip the silence switch or plug it in to recharge, but won't vibrate at all on incoming calls/texts in silent mode despite all the settings being set correctly and Do Not Disturb, etc. being set properly and toggled many times. Worked perfectly until the iOS 7 upgrade. Also yesterday the voice navigation in Maps was silent even in non-silent mode and despite resetting all sound options. Yet Siri's voice works fine.
