Does anyone dislike IOS 7 as much as I do?

Well, I'm old but not a ****** but I agree with you. My favorite version of iOS so far. 😉

The iPod controls, just like the ones when you double clicked and scrolled right, are in the control center.

Nope. Only play pause next track previous track. No access to playlist. No access to artists. No access to now playing. No access to songs. Just next, previous play/pause. However anout an hour ago my 13 year old son said "double click it" and i did and the ipod app opened. Now I just have to see if tat works when the phone is locked and its only one more step than before. I have a real hard time opening control center. The point of contact for the gesture is too close to the bottom on both of my phone cases. One is an otterbox defender and the other a Griffen.

iOS 6 vs iOS7. To me it's a no brainer. Actual buttons you have to push with a polished classy look compared to the most cheesy looking hyperlinks.

I only wear black until something darker comes along. Hey, if they let us skin the OS the way we wanted, perhaps many of us would stop ********.

Except, of course, they weren't "actual buttons". Personally, I'm glad to see the end of skeumorphism. I'm hoping to see the same sort of changes in Mavericks.

OK tried with the lock screen and the ipod controls will not open. Also reaslized when unlocked, it doesn't take a double click, just tap the song title, so it sort of does what it did before just a different way, but that doesn't make it NOT ugly.

Features I would keep are the new camera features and the control center and that's pretty much it. I was find with safari before so to me that is a lateral change, no improvement. I like the swipe down for search. That is just about the only thing that was made EASIER.

I'd like to be able to turn off all animations. I'm the kind of guy that got Windows 7 and immediately turned off aero. I made XP look and feel like 2000 because 2000 was actually good. I like the fact that OS10.8 looks and feels almost like OS8.0 and even really close to OS7.6, the most stable OS ever made (arguably).

Wel yes it would be better if they were actual buttons that pushed and the shadows changed to reflect that. I showed them to my wife side by side and she asked for her phone back. She absolutely will not upgrade. I keep trying to trade phones. Mine is 64GB and hers is 32GB. Mine has a broken OS on it and her's has a nearly flawless one.

Apple is really paranoid and sensitive about this subject. I have had at least 10 posts deleted. I'm the squeeky wheel. Grease me and I'll shut up.

I am a professional adult (41). I don't want my phone to look like candy. The new colors and look are extremely tacky and there is far too much white.

Is it too much to ask that we get some options regarding the look of our own phones? I would personally go back to the old look in a heartbeat.

Besides the horrid design:

1. Apple radio thusfar is pretty blah. Pandora is better and does not cause my phone to heat up and drain the battery. Raditaz has much better music. Oh, and why the heck can't I stream music I own in itunes match without first downloading on my phone??? (P.S., the look of it is rediculous. Things like stations are too big. If you are going to copy Pandora, at least copy the things that work.)

2. The calendar app is now unusable to me since the changes. I promptly got calenmob. (And why so much white!!!!)

3. Maps: still terrible.

4. Camera: swipe up on lock screen = camera. Great! Swipe down after picture = notification center?!? And Looks terrible.)

5. Buttons on all the apps are in different places and are not obvious.

I was the guinnea pig in my family for the new iOS. No one else wants it now and I am stuck with it. We were planning on buying 4 iphone 5S and a new laptop soon. Now, no way! Not unless things change dramatically. I am very afraid that this preschool look will also be carried over to the desktops. Geez, I hope not!!!

If nothing else, Apple has to keep paying the goon squad to keep deleting my posts. Seems like it would be less expensive to fix my phone! particularly since I have iOS6.1.4 installer sitting on my desktop ready to go.

Then if you know how to use Google you are ready to go.

BTW, there is no change in what you are referring to accessing the "iPod" app. In both cases if you have accessed the Music app it is open within your recently used apps. Double-click on the home page, scroll to the icon/page for the Music app, tap the page above the icon. If you want to close it instead press your finger on it and scroll up.

Or you could put the Music app in your dock.
