You can't get the old calendar back. However, there are lots of other calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them will meet your needs. Week Cal, for example, has a month view almost exactly like the one in the iOS Calendar app.

Best of luck.

Yes we can. It's called demanding change. Apple should make software their users like.

I have not found one person who likes the new calendar app more than the old one.

What's more - I've yet to talk to anyone who says, "yes, i love the fact that my phone looks like it was designed for a 3 year old now."

Just goes to show that no one individual should ever forget they are not the center of the universe. Would seem most folks in fact do not agree with you: http://www.pfeifferreport.com/v2/essays/how-ios-7-stacks-up-smartphone-os-user-e xperience-shootout

I'm with your Nnaomi! I HATE, HATE, HATE, the new calendar. If looking at it in the month view and I want to tap on a day to go to that day, it won't do it. How CRAZY is that?! I have to go to the day view and then scroll across the top until I get to the day I want. CRAZY! Another stupid feature in the month view is switching months. You can't slide back and forth, left or right anymore, but have to scroll down or up insted. There is no line to delineate the months, so it takes much more concentration to find the right month, since scrolling goes so fast that you can easily end up three months later. I am so regretful that I uploaded ios7. I told everybody I know NOT to upload it. Especially people who rely on their calendar.

I'm not sure that I understand your first point - if I click on a date in the Month display, it shows that day's notes. Is that what you mean? Scrolling left-right vs up-down makes no difference to me. But - I agree that the lack of division markers between the months is irritating, and should be fixed (and probably will be). I really like the added search feature that displays all upcoming notes.

It's ironic that you would link an article to argue against my case, when that very same article confirms my case: the UXF, or user experience friction, was bettter for iOS 6 than it turned out to be for iOS 7. Funny, right?

UXF: "...is the bad stuff, the aspects of a device that can annoy you in a niggling way, or, in extreme cases, drive you crazy. Basically, UXF occurs whenever a device does not do what you expect it to do - or lacks a key feature that should be available."

And iOS 6 beat iOS 7 in this category. Shame, right? Now go fall into confirmation bias and seek out an article that refutes your original article, that will give me quite the chuckle.

I no longer use my iPhone calendar. I downloaded Pocket Life and I won't switch back. I love this calendar. I won't even look at the IOS7 calendar anymore.

It links to outlook and my other calendars. It's just like the old IOS6 calendar only better.

You can try it free and then if you like it 2.99 gives you ad free.

Thanks, Nnaomi, I downloaded Pocket Life and will give it a try. If it works for me I'll relegate the iOS7 calendar to the last page of my Apps.

Chief AT what you suggested doesn't work on my iPad mini. If I click on a date on the monthly calendar all it does is let me add an event, nothing else. And if I'm not actually adding an event I have to cancel said non event or I have a bunch of blank events. Frustrating!

If that is your take-away from this article, you really need to work on your reading comprehension.

I didn't miss anything. I'm simply not cherry picking data in the manner you are. Read the entire piece. And depending on teh raw data used to obtain the values, its not even clear the difference between the two is statistically significant. When taken in context with the remainder of the study, this doesn't come even close to proving your point.
