You can't get the old calendar back. However, there are lots of other calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them will meet your needs. Week Cal, for example, has a month view almost exactly like the one in the iOS Calendar app.

Best of luck.

Oh I was so excited because when I downloaded 7.1 on my iPhone the feature I missed most was brought back to the calendar.

That is: the month view with the list of events under the month. All on one view , no scrolling.

I quickly updated software on iPad but calendar does not have this option or is it that I can not see it ? Does anyone know?

I thought the same thing - 'til I found it! Press on the table-of-contents-looking icon at the top (to the left of the 'search' (magnifying glass) icon. Voila! The week view and more.

The problem with the new calendar is that i can't see my appointment only by touching the date as used to, but i have to scroll to the exact time and this is painful if you want to have a quick glance at what your tasks are for many days.

While in the month view (with the year at the upper left), press on the icon that looks like a box with two lines under it in the upper right (just to the left of the 'search' icon (magnifying glass). That opens a list of the appointments for the selected day of the month.
