You can't get the old calendar back. However, there are lots of other calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them will meet your needs. Week Cal, for example, has a month view almost exactly like the one in the iOS Calendar app.

Best of luck.

THIS!!! This is the main reason the new ios7 calendar is very disappointing. Calender is one of the most critical apps to get right; it's how I schedule everything and try to stay on top of all the thinks I need to do. Having the ability to see the month view, and, when tapping on a day, QUICKLY being able to see a LIST of all the items for that day, is much more efficient than having to scroll through the entire day to make sure I didn't miss something.

Take a look at apps like Week Cal and Fantastical.

Whatever you do....

Make sure that you do your research first. Review these forums (keeping in mind that most of the people who are happy with iOS 7 aren't posting here), reveiw tech websites, go to the Apple Store and look at phones, look at you're friends' phones if they've updated. Then, make an informed choice, based on your personal needs and preferences.
