Why can't Siri make calls on my Iphone5 with IOS7?

After a couple weeks, the problem came back - Siri won't dial my wife's number. ANNOYING!

The steps below worked for me, but surely, it will not be long before Siri/voice dialing acts up again! APPLE, ARE YOU LISTENING!?!?

Settings > General > Siri > My Info

Select yourself from your contacts.

Turn Siri on and off.

I tried all steps which have been posted here, really non of them work on my 4s. Wonder why there is this forum 😟... none of the apple empoyees seem to be answering posts here

I justed chatted with a apple care rep, To fix this issue on my iphone5 I had to disable siri, wait 10 seconds and then re-enabled siri and its working again! Hope this helps!

Nope, for me on 4s doesnt work

bump. has anyone else found my solution work? siri on my 4s has worked seamlessly since i updated to the newer versions of ios7 from the launch version. i haven't had any problems at all since that update.

Okay, so I think I found a solution, I'm running the lastest IOS7 update on a 4s. I turned off Siri AND disabled it, then turned off my phone, waited a mnute and then turned it back on and re-abled Siri. So far, it's worked the few times I've tried it. Hope it continues. Note eligible for an upgrade till 09/14......sigh.......

It seems that on my iphone 5, that the latest update from the other day to iOS 7.0.4 seems to have helped. Very snappy responses and seems to be understanding me better again. I have yet to try it with my BT Headset (Plantronics Voyager Pro HD). We'll have to see if that is better now and if it lasts. Will report back with updates.

Having the same problem here with my new iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.3. I'll try all the suggestions here (including updating to 7.0.4) and see if anything fixes it.

I'm sure someone at Apple keeps an eye on the most-active user discussions to watch for issues they're not yet aware of that are impacting lots of customers. The more people chime in with "me too", the more likely Apple is to take notice.

Wow it worked for me believe it or not

I have a 4S and this just started happening to me yesterday. If I say "Call Mom" siri starts to call and then says "Uh Oh, I can't make that call or whatever. I rebooted with nothing, then I turned Siri off, rebooted my phone and turned Siri on... It's working for now... No real reason it just started to act up?????
