Why can't Siri make calls on my Iphone5 with IOS7?

I upgraded to IOS 7 yesterday and since the upgrade Siri is no longer willing to make any phone calls with my IPhone 5.

Regardless of the number or contact, it constantly comes back with: uh oh, I can't make that phone call.

The contacts have been checked for accurate phone numbers, international. Dial assist is on, nothing helps.

Is this an IOS 7 issue or do I need to return my phone?

After my OS upgraded to vr. 7.0.4 on my new iPhone 5c all of a sudden Siri stopped recognzing anyone in my conacts. When I try to call them all I get is, "I don't see that name in your address book. Should I look for locatons by that name?"

I have tried many of the suggestions in the prevoious posts: Turning Siri on and off, Turning Siri off - rebooting and turning Siri back on, making sure that contacts was turned on under icloud settings. I even backed all my information up on icloud, then turned Siri off, rebotted and turned Siri back on, but it still doesn't recognize anyone in my address book.

Any additional ideas? Anyone else have this problem after the latest software update?

Yes this (like many other Apple things lately - iTunes Match problems anyone?) seems to have sprung all of a sudden with Siri telling me "Uh oh, I can't make that phone call." I've done nothing new with my phone, etc., and when I read the comments here, I went into the Siri settings (settings/general/siri) and lo and behold, under "My Info" the contact person was my son! So, I changed it to my name, and then disabled Siri, did a hard reboot, and reenabled Siri with the correct "My Info" person - i.e., me. This worked (for now).

If you happen to have your iPhone linked to an Exchange server turning on iCloud contacts will not help you if you have this problem. To solve it, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Exchange > and turn contacts off. Make sure your contacts are backed up somewhere (like your Exchange server where they should be) as turning contacts off will delete them from your phone. Turn your contacts back on again, wait a while while it synchronizes with your Exchange server and gets the contacts back, and voila! Siri can make calls again.
