iPhone 5s Power Button Loose/Rattling Noise

Today I had scheduled a Genius Bar appointment for my loose rattling power button. I can hear it rattle when I record video and move around, the video even records the sound and it interferes with the video. It is also bothersome, in general, to have a rattling noise on my phone. The "genius" had me unlock the phone (since I have a passcode/fingerprint I.D) and he took it to the back to take a look at it, came back and said there's nothing wrong and that it's the "vibrating motor." Yeah, sure. I place my finger on the power button and move my phone and it has 0 rattling, when I let go it rattles like a maraca. I then asked him if he could open it and try and fix it for me, and he told me that he had just opened it and everything checked out fine. Another lie, he gave me my phone back unlocked and into my settings. If he opened it it would have been turned off, and on again which would request my passcode which he doesn't have. My previous iPhone 3/4S/5 has never done this and I see it as a simple fix if they were to really open it. I have fully purchased a new iPhone every year for the past 3 years and when I encounter a problem I'm lied to and told there is nothing I can do about it. I'll be scheduling another appointment soon in hopes I get a different employee that will actually help me.

What I want to know is, is there a fix to this?
When I take videos it captures the rattling noises ruining the video.

Dear Apple team,

My name is Nader FARID, I bought an iphone 5S White/Grey 32GB about a month ago from apple.com USA online and it was shipped to Brooklin in New York.

A friend brought it to me to where I am located in Cairo Egypt.

The phone was totally sealed but when unpacked the phone I started using it I found the power button very loose and it makes even a vibration sound then the phone vibrates.

My question is, If I sent to apple store it with a friend of mine who is travelling to Dubai UAE, can it be fixed or replaced?

Hello MARTINI_manda

The iPhone still rattles, but meanwhile I don't notice the noise. I got accustomed to it. I always buy a case which covers also the sleep/wake-button, then the noise is less hearable, but I cannot do anything against the camera rattling. This is sadly a production fault.

I hope this could help you.

P.S. What you could do, is that you put a little piece of paper between the button and the iPhone itself. I tried it and the noise is less hearable, but you see the paper (depends on the size) if you haven't a case.

No problem.

I own the Apple Case and also the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Now I would buy the Contour Kate Spade Case. I would put a piece of paper between the button and the phone. It's better. 😉

The other cases will find you in the Apple Online Store.

Bye bye.

Got my iPhone 5s Gold 16GB on Monday 22nd Oct 2014. First of I had the problem of rattling thud of the battery. I took it to apple and they said its normal, but no its not normal. Then I somehow fixed the battery problem myself. As I was doing research about the battery problem, I found out about this rattling power button thingy. I felt mine and it was bit loose too! Holy fak! I took a video while shaking it gently to vigorously and the video picked it all up. It was like few beans rattling in a small container, exactly the way most the people who posted their videos on youtube. I'm in a pickle now, its been more than a year since this phone and I still don't see any programs launched by apple to fix this so does that mean there literally nothing I can do to fix it? I tried blowing in it and stuff, it works for a while but after few minutes you are back to square one. I do not like or want to an extra stupid cover on my phone, so I guess I'll just have to live with it? Can we really not do something about this guys?
