My Photo Stream is empty with iCloud Control Panel 3.0

I've got iPhone, iPad and PC (Windows 8) in sync with iCloud Control Panel 2 properly before.

Days ago I upgraded to iCloud Control Panel 3.0, Other shared photo streams and iCloud bookmarks are sync perfectly but "My Photo Stream" is not sync on PC anymore. I've cleaned up iCloud Photos sync folder completely and signed in to the iCloud Control Panel again, but "My Photo Stream" is just not sync.

Any idea?

Thanks. Your two simple posts solved everything. Been reading the boards for several hours and looking for simple solution that made sense and yours was that. I also had minor problems (windows 7 pc) with photostream until I downloaded 3.0 and it stopped working completely. It seems that the previous folders that had been created for uploads and downloads were not recognized by the new version. So signing out and accepting the default folders when I signed back in worked perfectly and photostream works now in both directions without any hitch. Initially the shared folders were not there, but your second post solved that very simply. As soon as I turned off the two processes in task manager and closed and reopened the icloud.exe, they appeared and loaded all my shared photos.

Alex Ieong has it right...

After multiple attempts I followed hsi procedure of logging out and usign the defaults and it worked liek a charm... Finally !!!

for me it was a bit different on my PC with Windows 7, as I was unable to even select Photos, greyed out. I tried all the fixes here and didnt work for me, so I just uninstalled 3.0, reboot, reinstall 2.0 and everything works again.

3.0 with Photos greyed out so I can not select it.

2.0 all working fine.

Yes, that works at that time when you do it. Once all the photos are updated you leave and go about your day, take more photos, yet, they are no longer synching.

I had the same error in my log, but I don't know what change to the qtjava.zip path you adjusted. Could you please provide this?

ever since installed icloud version 1.0.1 it has been working perfectly for me, new pics are added instantly and they come in file name order, i have stopped trying all the fixes mentioned in this thread.

I tried several of above solution and only one worked: downgrading to version 2 of the icloud controlcenter...

Very disappointing...

I had the same problem we are sharing here, so.... I fully restored my Win7 laptop, then first I installed iCloud Control Panel, but I found that when I change the "iCloud Photos" default location, "My Photo Stream" update totally stops working. Automatic "My Photo Stream" updates properly work only when "iCloud Photos" default location (C:\Users\[username]\Pictures\iCloud Photos) has been restored.

Dear Apple please don't be like Microsoft.... please fix it ASAP!

Thank you hackins86! My photostream has been broken and turning off shared streams has fixed it. Eventhough the solution was in Russian the screen shot was a lifesaver! Cheers mate.

Everybody here needs to reset iCloud Photo Sync regularly before Apple gives us a final fix. Here's the script for you all. Just save the following lines as "Reset-iCloudPhotoSync.cmd" on your desktop. When the bug comes again, right-click and run as administrator:

TaskKill /F /IM ApplePhotoStreams.exe /T

TaskKill /F /IM ApplePhotoStreamsDownloader.exe /T

RMDIR /S /Q "%AppData%\Apple Computer\MediaStream"

"%CommonProgramFiles(x86)%\Apple\Internet Services\iCloud.exe"
