My Photo Stream is empty with iCloud Control Panel 3.0

I've got iPhone, iPad and PC (Windows 8) in sync with iCloud Control Panel 2 properly before.

Days ago I upgraded to iCloud Control Panel 3.0, Other shared photo streams and iCloud bookmarks are sync perfectly but "My Photo Stream" is not sync on PC anymore. I've cleaned up iCloud Photos sync folder completely and signed in to the iCloud Control Panel again, but "My Photo Stream" is just not sync.

Any idea?

Hi All,

My iCloud Photo Stream has been working for one month, so it was with trepidation I installed the new iCloud 3.1 Panel.....and not only does it STILL work...it looks like it is supposed to! Before this, the "Account Details" rectangle covered my Apple ID...but now it looks like it used to when I had iCloud 2.0 panel.....so, hopefully 3.1 will solve a lot of the problems people are having with PC's and 3.0.

My problem looked like this: The photostream on my 2 iPhones were empty. The photostream on my windows 7 PC would only download about 200 random pictures and then stop. The iMac iPhoto photostream ("on the web") showed 1000 items, but after I deleted these there was still random old pictures showing up on my PC that I thought were gone after I kept resetting the iCloud control panel on my PC.

For me I needed to delete my photostream from my iPhoto on my iMac. I could not find another way to fix my problem. I realized there were over 5000 images in my photostream after I had a hard drive failure and started a new iPhoto library. Unfortunately the photostream on my iMac would only show the last 1000 uploads so I kept getting confused. I think the problem is that other 4000 images are in the photostream on the web, but not visible on any of the devices or iPhoto on the mac. When I deleted the entire photostream (1000) on my iMac I assumed my photostream was empty, but this was not the case.

My solution was to turn off photostream on my iMac and when I turned it back on it again began downloading the entire photostream (except for the last 1000 I had deleted) and I needed to stay at the computer to continue to delete the photos as they appeared from the beginning. Once all 5000 photos were deleted then my photostream began to function normally. (I initially tried to do this on my iphone, but there is no easy way to select multiple images at once so I would have had to individually tick 5000 images for deletion!)

Also when I delete images from the photo stream folder on my PC it does not delete them from the photostream on the web. Only the iMac (iPhoto) and iPhones can delete the images.

I have tried EVERY solution to get Photo Stream to work after upgrading to WIndows 8.1 64 bit.

Was fine on WIndows 7, although originally had issues and some of the earlier solutions here worked....

I have tried eveything... and like the others My Photo Stream sits there with a grey box. I can add photos to it and it populates the stream fine... and I can delete those from device or PC and they delete throughotut he stream. However it will NOT pull down any photos in the stream.. and it will NOT add new photos going from devices to the stream. (the ashared streans work perfect

I have tried

- Uninstall and Reinstrall

- Deleting the Media Stream folders

- Changing locations of the iCLoud Photos

- SIgning on and off

- Making sure firewall was allowing all settings though

- Combing through registry and taking out anything related after uninstalling

Whats weird is that with a new install on a new tablet windows PC I bought, it went fine and works fine.. but my upgraded desktop doesn't

This is VERY frustrating and like many others I use phgotostream a LOT to get photos to my computer.

If anyone has a definitive solution that's not mentioned please let me know... I will pay someone for a working solution... There has to be some setting or service that is causing this... Its so weird that the more complex Shared streams work and populate fine.. this is just My photostream.

Thanks to anyone helps for sure.

Mike
