iOS 7 draining iPhone battery

Is anyone else having difficulty since the new update. It is really draining my battery very quickly. The new colors are making it harder to see the icons.

I am dissapointed too with ios7 battery usage.

I had previously iphone 4 with ios6. battery with my light usage could juice my phone for 3-4 days.

Now i upgraded to iphone 5s and ios7. when i went sleep with 3G enabled, battery drops by 40% during 6h night.

I didnt have that problem with old ios6.

When I disable 3G and leave EDGE, then usage is not so big (about 5-7% i think)

It is worht to mention that the problem is corelated with bad 3G signal as when I am in good 3G range, battery doesnt drop so fast (like 1-3% during 6-8h without phone usage)

I think that, there is some algorithm problem or connection keep problem with bad 3G range (probably it forces to keep 3G connection rather than switch to EDGE, but it is only my guess)

Hello everyone, I've been thinking about getting a smart phone. I have looked around and like the new iPhone. My question is if I only use it more for a phone and not as much for web, email, apps..ect. Will this give me better battery life? Just talking and texting?

The thing I look for most in a phone is battery and call quality. Will the iPhone 5s give that? I own an ipad mini, ipad 2 and iPod touch 4th gen. All with ios 7, but not the iPod touch, Apple never released it for the iPod touch 4.

Any help would be great. Thank you! Sorry to hear a lot of people are having battery issues but I'm just gonna use it like my lg chocolate Touch...talk n text.

Do you also own an iphone and an iPad? I have struggled with all solutions to fast depleting battery on iphone 4s (and on the ipad) since installing ios7. I sync via icloud to my ipad and noticed the b stopped if I powered off the ipad for a day! ios7 must have set up some cycle that drained both devices. Now I have set the ipad to manual (not push) on icloud and diary sync and battery life is back to normal for a whole week it can last 48 hours with light use- no longer have to keep shutting down all apps and turning off bluetooth and wifi to get through a day! Any one else found the same solution?

Updates to the iOS transmitter software, possibly intended to improve 3G performance, seems to have resulted in dramatically higher battery drainage. Disabling my iPhone 4 3G cellular data when not needed or when on WiFi, radically improved the battery life. I am in favour of all the iOS developments, which I believe are intended to meet customer expectations, but a one day battery life isn't acceptable to me. Can geolocation be incorporated into a smart 3G function, where WiFi connectivity switches off 3G and reverts to GPRS? Kind of like, using 3G when it is needed, not constantly? Also, when the phone is motionless for a few minutes, the 3G transmitter could be put to sleep, permitting low power GPRS to handle email and messaging? Just suggestions, which I hope are suitable.
