I didn't have this song on my phone before I upgraded to ios7. keeps reappearing, icloud based.

I just upgraded to ios7 on my iphone 5. when checking new radio feature and my music I noticed a kids song downloaded via icloud. I never had this song before. I deleted it but it immidiately downloaded again. I have spent too much time trying to delete this song.I only use the cloud for finding my phone. I don't want to subscribe to itunes match (24.99) just to remove one song. What if that dosen't work! When I look for the song in itunes, its not there. HELP!!!

iPhone 5, Windows 7

"Ok, for the stubborn songs that you didn't want and can't delete,

Go to : Settings, Music, turn on Show All Music ( this shows all music downloaded or in the cloud),

Open your music player and find the "Unwelcomed" song(s). The cloud symbol will now be visible in top right corner, tap the cloud to download the song(s) to your phone, when finished swipe left and delete.

Remain calm, The song will still be visible in the cloud until you go back to : Settings, Music, and turn off Show All Music. Your player should now be back to normal."

I just figured out another way to fix this, a way which seems simpler. You can log into the iTunes store on your computer, then go to >Purchased, then click on the button in the upper right that says “Not in my library.” Here you will see the albums/songs that are stored in the cloud but not physically in your iTunes library and therefore not deletable. Each should have a little X in the upper left corner of its icon. This will hide it, and make it disappear from your iOS device. Worked for me.

I was having that problem too. I had purchased some music in my college days that I no longer wanted in my library. I thought deleting it out of iTunes would be all I needed to do. Then iCloud comes along and suddenly all my old purchases are back, including the ones I had thought I deleted. I tried all of the above tips, to no avail.

Finally, I found this. This seems to be the clearest way to get rid of music, but it seems to permanently get rid of it.

go to settings and then go to your apple ID. log out and then sign back in. music is gone... trust me i had the same issue you did the reason it stays even after you turn off the show only music downloaded... is because the music has been downloaded from the cloud. if you played it, its downloaded. so do that and you will get a "no content" message on your phone in songs.

I had a similar problem. I tried EVERY way recommended. Nothing worked. But, I went into iTunes Store on my desktop and looked at my Purchased music. If you drag your cursor over the items you can't remove, a small "x" appears over a corner. It's to "hide" that purchase. I clicked the x's and the unwanted songs immediately disappeared. This is such a pain in the *** and took me way to long to figure out.

I was having this problem with a bunch of music my daughter purchased on my wife's account. Somehow, I suppose because our Macs are all linked together, and maybe because I let her download a couple of tunes on my account for her iPods, over the years. this stuff was showing up in the cloud under the artist and songs list on the Music app on my new iPod Touch. What finally worked for me was, I think, a couple of things.

1st) I went to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and turned off "Show All" on Music and Videos.

2nd) I went to General > Usage > Manage Storage > Music, and deleted everything. When I went back to the Music app, everything was gone except my Playlists, that then showed as being empty, plus these songs and artists that were, evidently, on some cloud out there, somewhere.

3rd) I went to the iTunes store on my laptop, went into the list of "Purchased" items under my account, and there saw all the stuff I wanted to get rid of. Well… when you hover your mouse or select a song or album, there's an "X" in a little circle that pops up. Clicking that "X" will hide that item in the "Purchased" list. And, likewise, that item disappeared from the songs and artist list on the iTouch. Hallelujah!

4th) I went back and synced the music from my laptop back to the iTouch that I actually wanted to have.

Done!

I didn't have this song on my phone before I upgraded to ios7. keeps reappearing, icloud based.
