my ipad is disabled, how do i enable it with a new password?

I follow your instruction but mine do NOT give me the option # 5, Click "Setup as new iPad" and then click restore.

I have an iPad 2, it gave the options to restore or update.

Any other suggestion.

Texas Mac Man - you rock! You just saved me. I had the same problem with the bluetooth keyboard. All the options were not going to work for me. I had an iCloud back up an never synced with iTunes. Thank you a thousand times over for your post!

my ipad is showing disabled and i tried tom's suggestions. it does not work as msg comes in itunes that the ipad has a password. i know the password but do not know how to enable the ipad as the ipad never ask for the password but keep on giving the msg " ipad disabled". how do i enable it without erasing the contents. would really appreciate ur help

Thank you very much, I strugle for almost @day for to get my iPad unlocked and so many people asked my alot of money for to help me, then I decided to search on the internet how should I do it by my own until I come to get your advice which helped me to get right with my iPad.

Contact Apple support over phone and they will guide how to reactivate the iPad. Can any body tell me why it got deactivated after continuous use of more than 8 years. No passcode or password. Apple support is superb and see to it that problem is resolved. My compliments to Apple support. No other company in the world can match quality of after sale service as Apple provides and that too free of cost even after 8 years of purchase. Adarsh Jain, India

This would not be a security flow as this process only works when used in conjunction with the computer that it was last synced with.

Does it show or remove your iPad password?

It removes your password. It does not show your password as this is a security issue.
