how do I add songs to a playlist from another playlist in ios7?

Same problem. Incredibly frustrating. It used to be easy to go to your purchased playlist and add new songs to what ever playlist you like. Now you have to go into each playlist, add, and search through all the songs you have ever bought to find the one to add. It's far more cumbersome to add new music to current playlists. The "create" option is pretty useless. I've never wanted to create a new playlist based on just one song, but I want to add a new song to a playlist every single time.

Frustrated.

Miss this functionality so much! This is one of two relativley short threads on the subject. It may be that most people don't use / create playlists in this way and so Apple has abondoned it. The folks who miss it surely do miss it passionately...

I do apologize in advance if this doesn't help you, at least partly since I'm now using iOS 8. I'm not familiar with iOS 7 functionality, or lack thereof.

Even in iOS 8, I was previously unable to copy songs from one playlist, e.g., Purchased, to another on my iPhone. This was because the playlist to which I wanted to move the songs was located inside a folder in my iTunes collection. I had to shift the playlist out of that folder. Once I did that it became simple to copy a song. You probably would know the rest, but just in case: click on the playlist TO which you want add a song(s), then click Edit. There should then be a "+" symbol at the top right part of the screen... click that. What should happen next is that a list of all playlists (but not any located within iTunes folders) are depicted. From there you click on the playlist FROM which you want to move the desired song. Then a list of songs in that playlist should show up with a "+" to the right of each song. Click the "+" and then click Done. That process should copy the song to your desired playlist. I do apologize if this doesn't help you... or maybe by now you've moved onto iOS 8 and your problem has been solved?
