Remove all that useless "anti-virus" software according to the developer's instructions.

It happened because the software you removed is useless garbage, like all commercial "security" software for the Mac platform.

I believe, Linc, that your near-rabid bias against anti-virus software in all forms is getting in the way here. Unless you have a theory that explains why multiple different anti-virus programs all are causing exactly the same unusual failure?

Lol this is kinda funny, i blame it on my school, they forced me to reimage my mac just to use the internet, the reimage *****, they are noobs at tech, since they denied access to a admin to the prefs pane sharing and somehow forced my default account images to not work, there are also other issues, which ill consider reinstalling my mac completly when i get a new HD. Click here and try to help if you want fix my account issue

I started having the same problem. Most websites would not load. I have Sophos installed, so when I saw the suggestion to delete antivirus I looked at Sophos. But, instead of removing it, I went to prefs and turned off Web Protection. The websites work like before. I had Sophos on prior to the web page problem, however, perhaps a Sophos or Apple update caused the problem?
