iOS 7 and Bluetooth keyboard issues

FWIW I don't know that the problem with wifi login is tied to a bluetooth keyboard. I "forgot" my Logitech BT keyboard, then went to login to the public SSID at work.

This time (as with other times when I had the BT keyboard turned off) there was no virtual screen keyboard. I switched back and forth between the userid and password fields multiple times and then finally the keyboard appears for no apparent reason.

Curious too that the screen it displays appears to have two segments to it, separated by a vertical line. I don't get that on other devices (my iPhone works just fine into the same public SSID).

I can't make it repeat at this point since the login is persistent for 24 hours. I'll track my workaround and see if I can document the process.

I have the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard/cover and after upgrading my Ipad did not recognize my keyboard at all. When I went into settings there was no Bluetooth profile to delete and it was just stuck on SEARCHING for a device.

After finall trying a number of things I remembered there is another small button on the side of the keyboard to try to force a connection. It is beside the On/Off switch. I pressed that a couple of times and everything synched up and is working perfectly now.

I have a Belkin Ultimate Keyboard and after upgrading to IOS 7.0.2 it stopped working as well. I finally got it working again by doing the following:
1) In the bluetooth settings - Select the keyboard - Forget the Device

2) Turn off Bluetooth
3) Reboot the iPad
4) Re-enable Bluetooth
5) Re-pair the keyboard

This process seemed to fix the issue and the keyboard works great now.

I have an Ipad2 and a Zagg Keyboard. Even with the IOS 7.0.2, it will no longer pair. I have tried charging the keyboard, turning off both the ipad and keyboard and nothing works. I think Apple needs an IOS 7.0.3

I have a third generation iPad and Zagg's ZAGGKEYS Profolio + (it's a keyboard case). It pairs without issue in 7.0.2.

However, I'm having the same up/down arrow problems that a previous poster mentioned. Works in some apps, not in others.

Thank you, stoopskc. I did what you suggested, but I did not go into general and reset settings. Figured I'd try this first and if it didn't work, I'd go through the process again and do the reset.

I turned off my Logitech keyboard, went into Bluetooth settings on my iPad, chose "Forget this device", turned the keyboard back on, then pushed the bluetooth button on the keyboard to force it into discoverable mode and it reconnected.

I have an issue with my Brydge keyboard on my iPad with ios 7 (all flavors).

My keyboard works fine until I pull down the spotlight search. At that point it quits working but no software keyboard will appear. It won't start working again until I cycle bluetooth on my iPad and power on the Brydge.

It works perfectly otherwise.

I too have been having serious problems with a Logitech keyboard and iOS 7. I certainly had some buggy behaviour around fields and repeated characters. But the main problem is that when I turned the keyboard off, the on-screen keyboard does not always reappear. This persists even if I change apps or return to the home screen. The only way to bring it back at present seems to be to turn the iPad off completely and restart it. This is obviously extremely annoying.

Same problem. Not with a Logitech keyboard, a Belkin one, which is built into my case. After upgrading to iOS 7, it does not show up in the Bluetooth menu. It just says "Searching..." and stays there. Really disappointed.

Same issues - very frustrating indeed. I have had my ZAGGKeys Mini 7 for quite some time and upgraded to iO7, version 7.02 and still have several keys that do not respond at all. In fact, I will have keys double type, causing many errors while using the Notepad, Wepage input tabs, etc. Zagg has not commented on their website, though, I plan on calling them today to findout what the solution will be. I truly believe this is an Apple issue - druing the beta testing, fixes should have been well understood; whereby, implemented into the version of iOS7. I truly hope Apple addresses these issues soon.

That said - I look forward to the new upgrade scheme and enchancements with iOS7.

I did Logitech's solution of forgetting device, etc and repaired it and arrows and most everything else works on ultrathin keyboard cover. However my Apple BT keyboard won't pair now. its been in the BT list and i even used it last night but this morning I wanted to use it and it wouldn't connect (about 3.5-4 years old). I finally decided to forget it and repair. Now, no matter what i do it will not repair. i've reset a number of times, put in new batteries, and occasionally it will pop up in list but only shows as "keyboard" not Apple Bluetooth Keyboard as before. I can never get it to pair--never gives me the code one must use to pair. i ended up typing on the Logitech.

I'm going to buy an Ipad 5 and pass the 3 to my husband whose Ipad 1 crashes constantly and its battery is of course dying. i hope by then the BT issues are worked out since i use my ipad for almost everything (except raw photo processing on my built for me PC). My other 3 BT devices work fine it seems.

I should have said i overall like IOS7 very much. i love control center, multitasking and flicking up to close apps, mostly like the 'flat' look and much more. Some small issues to work out and I'll keep installing minor upgrades LOL.

Not sure if the hyperlink will show up, but basically to solve the problem, you have to keep the power button on the keyboard pushed in the entire time you are connecting the apple keyboard to the iPad. Seems kind of quirky & I don't know enough about bluetooth to know why it works, but it worked for me.

I did this as well and it worked for a short while. but it's back to not working properly. It usually happens right after it wakes up. After a few minutes of being awake, it works properly. Still frustrating that it doesn't quite work properly.

I just did the full reboot after "forgetting" my keyboard (Logitech Ultrathin). Right now it's working, but it seems like I did this once before. Fingers crossed this works until a fix comes from Apple.
