iPad new ios7 made my camera stop working

After downloading ios7 my camera doesn't work. I open it to take photos and the screen stays black save fore the buttons on screen that don't do anything when I touch them. I have already gone through general seeing to restrictions then camera and no luck there. I've even tried restarting the app several times and even restarting my iPad. I'm frustrated because this iPad isn't even a year old yet! I use my iPad for snapping photos of my artwork to share with family but it's not working at all, just black screen.

What about the people ran out of warranty? If this firmware was going to mess with my camera, why is it even not tested before released?

I don't see any Apple technician posting to these issues. This is Apples fault and they should fix the firmware.

Same problem here. We have 3 iPads and they all have none funtional cameras. This started with ios 7 update. New update 7.0.3 did not fix it. Reseting the ipad did not fix it. Please fix your firmware Apple. Apple can you hear us? When are you going to fix your mess?

hi all !

Guys i have the same problem ipad mini rear cam not working still on 6.1.3 sometime i succeded to "activate" rear cam, after reseting sometimes it is ok, but after first reboot, pw off,reset or any BOOT the rear cam forgets to behave the way it was planned to. So the best F___CK is this ipad had 6.1.2 on it (WORKED PROPERLY) since i was away, knowing my 6.1.2 will have cydia soon! but somebody updated it so JB option off, and also the basic funcionalty is degradedated.
AND OUT of WARRANTY !!!!

i really dont want to update to ios7, reading other users practices, cases i dont rist !!! To be honest also the battery consumption and the first design what i really dont like, but dont jump on this, i know there are many topics and many feels like i do. btw, Johny Ive rules !!! except this kindergarden style 🙂

SO PLEASE ANY iDEAS, solutions are WELCOME because it is a SW "BUG" in my opppinion and my whole story ...

i hope somebody will anwser soon and dont need to wish Happy XMAS !!!!

I have had similar problems with the front camera working but when I try to switch to the back camera it freezes. I have just found that in IOS7 that if I use the camera icon in the Control Centre (swipe up to access), that I can get the rear camera to work successfully). In addition once I have the rear camera working this way, I can then go into other applications and use the rear camera successfully also.
