iOS7 BUG? ALL MY NOTES disappeared. WHY?

I did NOTHING unusual today. Went to work, lunch time, got my phone out. Wanted to check some notes.

Opened the app and..........ALL NOTES ARE GONE.

Wow!

Screw APPLE. This is pathetic (as well as your new iOS "look")

Something similar happened to me. I had several notes in my phone. iOS7 upgrade caused them to disappear. I didn't really care because I was able to recreate them/remember what was in them and they weren't that important, anyway. But then I started a note in which I was keeping track of my 2 year old son's words (how he pronounces them) and I had a list of about 20 words. Yesterday, I took my phone in to the Apple store because the microphone was busted. They replaced my phone. I expected to be able to pull that note from my back up, but lo and behold, THAT note is gone, but the 3 notes that had previously disappeared had mysteriously reappeared.

I have looked in my Gmail folders on both the phone and web browser and the words note is not there. I'm really bummed because I'm not sure I'll be able to remember all of the funny things he said before, now that his pronunciation is getting better.

Any idea where the note might have gone/how to get it back?

The Notes app is properly showing the notes for the main iCloud account on my iPad and also the notes for a second iCloud account. I just added a third iCloud account - Reminders, Mail, Contatcs are showing properly for it, but the Notes app is not showing notes for the third account. So it seems like a problem with Notes and not just the mail service. I should be able to see the notes in the Notes app – not in the Mail app – otherwise Settings shouldn't have an on-switch for Notes. Am I missing something?

I have Gmail as well, and found a way to show my notes on my iPhone again without having to copy them back over manually.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Gmail > turn on Notes

Go back to home screen and check your notes. They should be there (hopefully).

What had happened to me is this: I had accidentally turned on Notes in the Gmail settings and then turned them off again, so ios7 transported my notes into Gmail. But when I turned off Gmail notes, they disappeared from my phone. When I turned Gmail notes back on, my notes came back automatically.

So now my notes get updated in Gmail when I update them on my iPhone. Nice backup plan to have them connected to Gmail...

Hope this helps. Thanks.

boogaboo214, you can't imagine how thankful I am. I lost work notes months ago in my Ipad. I kept going back and forth to the Apple store and talking to them on the phone as well, nobody knew what to do.... I ended up buying an Iphone two months ago, hoping for the problem not to repeat itself... it did! Today again, two hours on the phone with Apple and they were useless... you solved everything with your simple sentences. I found all my notes lost for months!!! I wish lots of people like you would work for them, thank you sooooo much!!!
