Bugs in reminder app - iOS 7

Is anyone else having bugs with the reminder app since they've upgraded to iOS7? For background info, I use reminders all the time in the "Today" mode, which is now the little clock icon mode.

Issues I'm having:

1. Sometimes Reminders won't even load. I just get a black screen. Removing the app by double tapping the home button and swiping it closed doesn't even work - only restarting my entire phone fixes the problem.

2. When I add a reminder to the bottom of the day, it actually changes my previous reminder in the list. For example, I'll have the day list like this:

10am Email Fred

11am Pick up dry cleaners

7pm Gift for Nancy

If I add a new task like "Put out garbage bins at 8am" by clicking below Gift for Nancy, I end up getting two versions of "Put out garbage" - one at 7am, and one replacing Gift for Nancy at 7pm. I hope that makes sense.

3. I cannot add a task easily for days past tomorrow. Say I want to add a task for next Thursday. In the last version, I'd click on the date at the bottom of the screen and then just add the task. Now when I scroll down to Thursday, I can only edit the last task in the list, not add a new one. I have to create a new task for Today or Tomorrow and then manually edit it for Thursday. This is an annoying extra step, but not as bad as the first two bugs.

I hope developers at Apple see this - it's a big bummer that my most used app after email and messages is so broken right now 😟

Otherwise, I really like the style of the app and the convenience of the swipe from the bottom access to most common settings! I do get a little dizzy seeing the background move compared to the apps when I move the phone, but I imagine that most people don't get nausea as easily as I do!

Bugs? They have effectively eliminated the ability to use this app. To actually recount what not does work would take too long. We are going to need an app that allows us to use MSFT exchange server tasks on iOS. Does anyone know of an app that would allow use tasks as we would on excahnge server. Or, as any normal working professional would use a tasks list? In the meantime, back up your calendar and contacts!

I haven't experienced the number of bugs that have been reported here, mostly because I was only a casual user of Reminders, but one of the major functions that I relied on was that completed reminders were saved/organized by the date on which the task was completed. Most other apps indicate that a task has been completed, but the date on which is was reported completed is not automatically saved, nor is there a convenient way to add that information. I found that function to be supremely useful for me and I can no longer use Reminders without it. I hope that in a re-design they bring that function back.

How's this for a shiner? If you type in a reminder and press HOME instead of enter or tapping away from the reminder, your data isn't saved. You might go back into Reminders later and do something else that causes your data to be saved, so you might be OK. If Reminders explicitly or implicitly stops running for any reason, then that 1 edit dies with it. If you play a memory hungry game or reboot your system, poof it's gone. If you're on an iPod, the memory consumption of looking at 1 webpage should do the trick, ha.

I have no idea how much stuff I've lost to this total violation of how iOS is supposed to work. Maybe somebody should tell Apple how to use applicationDidEnterBackground.

So much for hoping that Apple would fix this in iOS 8 -- updated last week and tried using Reminders again, and am still experiencing the exact same issues as before (I have some reminders with long Notes fields, and I cannot edit those because they scroll off the screen).

So much for hoping Apple would actually fix bugs with a new OS release!

Me too! I have an iPhone 6 and am running on 9.2 and am up to date but I am constantly having problems with my "Reminders" list. For some reason when I open the list it randomly decides to duplicate notes, which wouldn't be a big deal except it is replacing my current lists and notes with duplicates of another. It copies one existing list and replaces it with a duplicate of another, erasing the other completely. Its terrible frustrating when I'm grocery shopping and my list disappears on me! Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
